History

Established in 1986.

Dr. Moravec has been practicing orthodontics in Plainfield since 1985. His undergraduate collegiate studies were completed at Michigan State University and the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He obtained his Master of Science in orthodontics from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

We have an extremely friendly and accessible staff. Most of us have been working for Dr. Moravec between five and 20 years, and most of us have had orthodontic treatment with Dr. Moravec.

Dr. Steven Moravec’s office is in one of the oldest buildings in Plainfield. His restoration preserved the building’s historic integrity while creating a modern, aesthetically pleasing orthodontic office. The office is a Plainfield Historical landmark.

Dr. Moravec has been married to his wife Chandra even longer than he has been practicing orthodontics. They have two daughters, Maya and Eva. His interests outside of orthodontics include history, travel, aquariums, and triathlons. He has completed five Ironman Triathlons! In 2007, Dr. Moravec took his love of history to another level by completing his master’s degree in history at DePaul University.

Dr. Moravec’s office is a study in efficiency! Extremely well organized, fast and friendly staff. I have had 2 children see Dr. Moravec over the last few years. Never a glitch. The dental work has never been an issue, when there was a problem, we were able to get in quickly to have repairs done. He always gives an update after each appointment. Overall outstanding.

Dr Moravec & his staff are very professional and friendly. He will answer any questions and/​or concern in a timely manner. He spends time with his patients. He does a thorough dental work. My daughter had her braces done about 5 years ago. Now my son is in the process of starting his braces. The office fees are reasonable. Payment Plan is available. His staff are very efficient and very helpful. Having worked in the dental field, I see the smooth flow during our appointments. Dental team work shows. Dr Moravec and his staff strives the best and latest tools for his patients. A very well run dental practice. Excellent staff & awesome service!!! I highly recommend Dr Moravec for your Orthodontics care!!!

Dr. Moravec is fantastic! My son has had the best treatment, and his Plainfield office will blow you away! From the beautiful décor, to the video game room, to the state of the art equipment! Dr. Moravec always gives me a personal update on the treatment plan at the end of each appointment, and his staff is just as great!

Wow! I can’t even explain how impressed I have been with Dr. Moravec and his staff. I currently have both of my children receiving treatment from Dr. Moravec. The facilities are high tech and clean. We have never had any trouble getting an appointment or having questions answered (Dr. Moravec actually provided his personal mobile phone number in case we do have questions that need to be answered). That’s first class service! I highly recommend Dr. Moravec if you or your children have any orthodontic needs.

Both my sons had braces with Dr. Moravec. They both had the Sure Smile system, it shaved off 10 months off their time in braces vs. regular orthodontia methods. The office works like a well-​oiled machine, and staff are pleasant and professional with their clients and parents. I would recommend Dr. Moravec!

If I could rate higher I would. Dr. Moravec is an EXCELLENT orthodontist that you will not be disappointed by. He has managed to remove all the things you do not like about going to the dentist/​orthodontist. Great staff. He gets you in on time, is clear about what is required and speaks to each parent before they leave with their child. He has the smoothest operations I have ever seen. A model of doctors/​dentists/​orthodontists to follow. Not only have my kids been patients, I have too. He helped fix a gap between my teeth. Great all the way around!

15 months later and a very happy result. Very efficient staff and of course Dr. Moravec is AWESOME! Great people to be with during the journey. Always smiling and enthusiastic. Definitely sending my children here when they have to get their braces!!! Keep up the great work.

My oldest child just got her braces off at Dr. Moravec’s today. Her smile is beautiful and I will be bringing my my other child in once he is ready. As a father, I really appreciated the updates Dr. Moravec would provide as to what he did that day and what we can expect to happen next appointment. The staff at the office is also very family-​friendly. Brenda in particular always made the appointment comfortable for my daughter with her witty-​jokes and motherly-​nature.

I consulted three different orthodontists for my elementary school aged daughter, as this was my first experience. Two of these doctors wanted me to immediately sign a contract, make a payment, and rush my daughter into the dental chair in the same day.
Dr. Moravec was very different, he said she was not ready and he wanted to be careful to chose the best time in her growth to correct her overbite. We came back every 6 months until she was ready. No rush, painless, and the result was a great smile. My two other children will certainly be patients of Dr. Moravec in the near future as well.
