Serendipity

Attended an event over the weekend. The venue was okay nothing special. The catering and presentation of appetizers was below par. The display appears like it was put together by teenager with no experience. The veggies came from a retail prepacked dole bag. Speaking of teenagers.
The staff appears to be teenagers and while friendly they’re definitely inexperienced. I would attribute this to lack of training.
Their standard buffet was average at best. Pecan chicken lacked seasoning and was bland. Baking a chicken breast and throwing on a few pecans does not constitute a pecan encrusted entrée. The green beans were basically heated straight out of a can. The red potatoes while plentiful lacked seasoning as well.
The bar staff was knowledgeable and friendly. While they served some decent liqour. The vodka and gin couldn’t have gotten worse. Seriously spend a couple more bucks and throw out some New Amsterdam or Smirnoff’s.
One would wonder why water glasses weren’t preset as well.
The bottom line here is if you want a cheap no frills lack of quality food this would be your place.
