Using a multisensory approach, Heads… You Win provides one-​on-​one and small group tutoring in major content areas (reading, writing, mathematics) in the comfort of your home or at a mutually convenient site. We begin by first assessing your child, then developing an individualized plan of support to help your child achieve academic success.

History

Established in 2010.

In her role as Assistant Principal in a NJ public school, CEO and founder Raquel Y. Horn serves as her school’s Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS) Coordinator. In this capacity, she works collaboratively with colleagues and parents to develop Action Plans to support students who struggle academically. Realizing that some childrenrequire moreintensive, one-​on-​one support, she created Heads… You Winto address that need. Mrs. Horn, however, has successfully tutored children for nearly 15 years, long before she created Heads… You Win.

Meet the Business Owner

Raquel H.

Business Owner

Raquel Is a licensed teacher and principal in the State of New Jersey. She has worked as a teacher, literacy coordinator, design coach, and is currently an Assistant Principal in a public school setting. Versatile, she has worked successfully with children and families in both urban and suburban school districts. Prior to entering the field of education, she worked as a Federal Investigator for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Raquel holds a B.A. in Communications and a M.A. in Educational Administation and Supervision.
