Beachy’s Small Engine

I would recommend staying clear of this place. There are many more reasonably priced engine repair places in the area. I went there because I needed a lawn mower tune up and they were one of the only places that said they would work on mine. After dropping off my lawnmower I literally had to call almost every day for two weeks just to get an explanation of what was going on. This is a family owned business so the wife answers the phone during business hours and the husband and son work on repairs. They could certainly use some lessons in customer service. I was never given a quote on what the repairs would be and finally when my lawnmower was «fixed» I was told the repairs were going to be almost $ 300! This lawnmower was almost 10 years old! I told him there was absolutely no way I was paying that amount. I could buy a brand new mower for the cost of the repairs but that didn’t seem to register with him. He essentially told me if I didn’t want to pay that amount he would be more than happy to keep my lawnmower and try to sell it since it was a high quality mower. I considered reporting him to the BBB or any other relevant company that would look into his practices. I gave him every opportunity to make this right but it became evident that he had no problems railing his customers. Please look elsewhere for any small engine repair. I learned the hard way. Not to mention the shoddy work he did on my lawnmower. I was able to use it one summer then it ceased to work.
