Zero Stars! One of the absolute worst customer service over the phone I have ever received. I had to hang up on this person and I have never hung up on anyone when asking general questions about their store. As a business owner, this was absurd. If I were the owner here, I would not have someone like the lady I spoke with answering my phones. You are causing your business to LOSE money. And if it was the owner I spoke to, just wow. All I can say is I’m amazed you got this far in life. I called to inquire about a few things since their website was not very helpful. First asked what were their hours of operation and the lady gives me a sarcastic«by appt only». Umm how am I supposed to know what times or days you are available without asking? Then I asked if they sell wholesale to retailers and the woman became hostile and defensive. Saying«we sell to the public». Which doesn’t answer my question of selling to resellers for tax purposes. When I explained I have a resellers license, something clicked in her little brain that was my question. And she then said oh yeah we sell to everyone. I then asked if they do discount pricing since we will be purchasing more than the general public, she asked what do I mean and what am I looking for in the rudest tone. If I can assess this person based on my conversation, I’d say she’s mentally handicapped or has some major issues going on. How she got to the point in her life answering phones is mind boggling. I told her forget it. I am not doing business with this kind of horrible customer service. If this is how your business is like over the phone, I don’t want to imagine what it’s like in person! What a waste of my unlimited talk minutes for my cell phone plan. Unilocalers go elsewhere.

This place is awesome! Bring your hiking shoes because it’s BIG. For those into styling your own plants… they have a huge selection starter maples, juniper, pines, and then some! Not to mention the designed/styled plants that are ready for those just wanting the plant ready to go. This place is a bit of a drive(coming from Sacramento)…but well worth it. Even if it’s just to enjoy the 50+ year old Chinese Elms and foraged Pines turned into masterpieces…

Great large bonsai store out in the middle of nowhere. Call ahead to make sure they are open — garden is located on their 5 acre property. They have all kinds of pots, rocks, plants and trees in a beautiful serene location. Expensive but high-quality.

Totally fun to visit, totally fun to drive to. It’s like a little piece of heaven tucked away in the foothills. All things bonsai. If you are looking for all things Bonsai come here. IF you are looking for a cute little day trip to get some zen and escape the city for a while. This is your place. Just don’t tell too many people to make it all crazy… like apple hill…

I recently had an opportunity to take a Bonsai workshop at the Lotus Bonsai Nursery & Gardens. I am new to Bonsai and would consider myself a novice greenthumb at best but this place offers something for the beginner as well as the expert. This is a family run business and the owners were as friendly, accomodating and as knowledgable as you could hope for. The nursery/grounds are not your typical commercial nursery, the entire place is set on a hillside amongst the oaks and is very serene. They offer classes and specimen gathering events as well as selling pot stock, tools, planters, soil and completed Bonsai specimens… All top notch. If you enjoy gardening and have ever contemplated doing a Bonsai on your own or even just learning what it’s all about I highly recommend visiting the website and giving them a call. I can’t wait to go back.
