It’s super convenient having a Starbucks now, inside of Ralphs. No more ridiculous drive-through lines for cars, or out-the-door lines of people. :)

I agree with the reviewer Cari. My initial experiences were bad, but I was understanding of the fact that it was a new store with all new trainees. It seems like the Starbucks has been open about 2 or 3 months now and the service is still consistently bad. Making drinks incorrectly, not having enough change in the drawer(which I understand can happen, but then slowly taking their time to go get it), running out of product, not having tea brewed, etc… I live 2 blocks from this Ralph’s and was so excited for this Starbucks opening… But now I have to ask myself if it’s worth it to go there anymore. Seems like they need additional training or an onsite manager, with experience.

We just received the best customer service ever from a young lady named Jonah(sp.). She went above and WAY beyond our expectations. I called a local Starbucks to ask to speak to a District Mgr about her awesome service. Unfortunately, since it’s inside a store it’s not«Starbucks» related; However, «Ralphs» related… In any event… Jonah you were so nice and helpful… thank you, Tony & Joyce The Chocolate Chip couple…

Inconsistent. Not up to Starbucks standards. Really disappointing. I really feel bad about writing this review. Because I love Starbucks, and Grocery store Starbucks cafes are just so convenient and fun. That being said, this Starbucks, located inside the Raulphs on Rose Drive, just isn’t cutting it. They’re new, so at first I thought I’d give them some wiggle room. But I’ve been going there for weeks now and they are consistently bad. I just think it boils down to training. It doesn’t seem like these baristas got the proper training to make a proper Starbucks quality beverage. The drinks don’t taste right. I’ve gotten several Cinnamon Dulce lattes, two iced coffees, and a Pumpkin Spice latte. The Cinnamon Ducle and iced coffees tasted odd, but they were drinkable. The Pumpkin Spice was just gross. I couldn’t drink it. I tried. I just couldn’t. It tasted like they used stale, day old coffee or something. Even my husband said the coffee there has an odd taste. Then I took my nephew there on the way to school last week. This was the final straw for me. First, the barista accused him of cutting in line(because she didn’t see him in line and I was off to the side, letting him have the fun of ordering his own drink). The experience was bad because she embarrassed the poor kid. The lady behind us had to assure the barista that my 11 year old nephew didn’t cut. Second, they made his drink wrong. He ordered a tall hot chocolate, kids temp, no whip. It was too hot for him because they made it regular temp and they added whipped cream, which he hates. All in all, this Starbucks is really disappointing. Starbucks, if you’re reading this, could you please train your grocery story baristas more thoroughly? I get it, they’re Raulphs employees, not yours. But it’s your coffee and your brand, and it’s your customers that are left feeling disappointed. I love the idea of drinking a Starbucks while shopping for groceries. But when standards are this low, I just can’t.

Yay! Finally, there is a Starbucks in the Alta Vista area. It’s inside Ralph’s market and actually pretty spacious with 3 – 4 small tables and a long picnic table inside. It just opened about 2 weeks ago so it’s not too crowded yet. I am just glad I don’t have to go to the one at Bradford and Yorba Linda location or the YL location by Sprouts as both tend to be very busy and a bit further…
