A One Auto Body & Towing

This place is horrible, I got in an accident and like others I didn’t get to choose where my car was going to be towed and insurance wasn’t going to be able to look at it for a while. THE DAY OF THE ACCIDENT I went to claim my personal items from my vehicle, I had forgotten a parking pass sticker so I called back about 4 days later to see if I could still retrieve the sticker. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and in a big rush to get me off the phone but told me I could get it. Both visits I went into the office and talked with the staff and neither time was I told about the «$ 50/​day storage fee» nor did i see any signs of any kind stating this fee. I didn’t find out about that till I received the bill 10 days later stating it had been in effect since the day of the accident. Of course I went down there immediately upon opening the letter to go get my car and not have to pay that ridiculous fee that I was unaware had existed. After paying almost $ 1k in fees to get my wrecked car out of their possession, I called AAA to come tow my car back to my house. After hanging up and thinking about how shady they were with the billing, I decided to look and see if my car was still there, low and behold my car is nowhere on the lot, so I go back to the office and both the secretary and «boss» were trying very hard to look like they were busy on the phones with office work when they were probably just avoiding talking to me because they knew my car wasn’t there and they didn’t want to deal with it. I finally get to talk to the secretary and I tell her that AAA is on the way to get my car and they should probably bring it out. THEN she decides to tell me that the vehicle was no longer on the premises and had been moved to a different location. I asked her where it was located and that they needed to bring it back so I could take it, and she got upset with me wanting to get my vehicle back and told me that she wouldn’t send a driver to go get my car unless AAA called them when the tow truck that I had called was about 10 – 15 minutes away. So I walked outside and got on the phone with AAA and explained the situation to the dispatcher, who was thankfully incredibly helpful, and after talking with her, she explained she just needed A One’s station ID number in order to send my request for a tow to them and help alleviate the problem. I went back in with dispatch on the phone and once again both the «boss» and secretary were «hard at work» and ignored me for about 5 minutes before the «boss» decided to grace me with his attention. I handed him my phone and told him AAA dispatch was on the line and they needed some information. He got a very confused look on his face like he had no idea what they could want, got on the phone and when dispatched asked him for the station ID number he started stammering and then said he didn’t know that information, to talk to his secretary, handed me the phone then tried to get out of the room as fast as he could. Luckily the secretary had the security clearance to know the extremely long, impossible to remember, super secret G13 classified 3 digit ID number and then got shooed out of the office once my request came through on the computer. Both tow truck drivers that i dealt with out of this location were awesome, but the office staff is a completely different story. I HIGHLY recommend NEVER using this company and if you are unfortunate enough to have your vehicle towed here, GET IT OUT ASAP! THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM CHARGING YOU AND MOVING YOUR PROPERTY WITH NO NOTICE OR APPROVAL! SHADY SHADY SHADY AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE/​BUSINESS ETHICS FROM THE OFFICE STAFF! THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND FORCED TO REPAY ALL THE MONEY THEY SWINDLED FROM PEOPLE!

Long story short My car got towed here, I didn’t have a choice. My insurance company couldn’t inspect my car or release it for over a month!!! Because of The owner or manager (name is Jack) he is the rudest guy I’ve ever met on planet earth. He is downright disgusting when it comes to business etiquette, he has no soul and should be known as a white fat devil with horns. Doesn’t care about your vehicle nor you, all he cares about is $$$ so he can keep his belly big. Don’t trust this guy and he tries to get you to repair your car at his body shop/​towyard talk about a double edged sword. Terrible terrible service by driver James. He was very, Very rude. He advised me that picking up my car was a waste of his time. He charged me $ 9.00 I gave him $ 10.00 and he didn’t even give me my change back! I do not recommend this tow truck service to anyone! I don’t even want to give him a full star!

0 STARS!!! This place is absolutely terrible and I could not believe the way they treated me! My husband crashed his car and they towed it to this place. His mom is the registered owner of the car and they told us that she had to be the one to get stuff out of it yet she lives in Oregon. So now that she’s finally down here I called to see if we could get stuff out of the car and they told us that we couldn’t because they owned the car and we signed off on the car. Which we never did. When I asked who signed they gaave me an address we haven’t lived in for FOUR YEARS. So whoever signed it illegally gave the car away. When I ask to just get my car seat and fishing poles this guy RONALD decided to say that he owns everything in that car and the fishing poles are his but he’s not an evil person so he’ll give us the car seat. Even though we need the fishing poles to give back to their original owner. All in all they were very rude with arrogant comments and are a hassle to deal with. They should be out out of business for their terrible service and unprofessionalism. Don’t wxpect these people to work with their customers cause they don’t. DONT EVER GO HERE OR GET YOUR CAR TOWED HERE EVER!!!

If I could give 0 stars then I absolutely would! I got in a small accident and my insurance called a tow truck to come get me. The man driving the tow truck suggested to bring it to this place because he works for them. I obliged because he seemed honest. I didn’t realize that he only wanted me to bring it there because they get compensation for that. When I brought it into the shop… Jack seemed nice and said how he would take good care of my car. They took the parts off the car and then let it sit there for about 10 days until letting my insurance know that there was also something wrong with it. He emailed my appraiser and wrote a ONE SENTENCE email saying «There’s an issue with the steering wheel.» My appraiser asked «What’s wrong with it?» Jack responds again with another one sentence email not explaining very well. So my appraiser thinks it would be best to send my car to the dealership that way they can look at it and figure out what exactly was wrong with it because my car is a lease and it needs to be correct. After my car was taking over 3 weeks I called my insurance and the supervisor to understand why it was taking so long for such a small accident. The supervisor three way called Jack from this body shop asking what the status of my car was and he said «Shouldn’t you know where it is? It’s at the dealership.» He had an extreme attitude when it was not necessary. I was just asking about the status of my car. After that he tried to blame my insurance for not coming out on time to appraise it when that was not the case. He was the one who sat with the car and he could have already done the body work before it went to the dealership for the mechanical work. The supervisor got off the phone after a short while because if he would’ve kept talking to Jack I’m almost certain he would’ve started yelling. His customer service is absolutely horrid and he is a very rude person. This is no way to run a business. I told the supervisor from AAA that I did NOT want my car coming back to this place for the rest of the repairs after his disgusting attitude. I did not want someone like that handling my car because I didn’t trust that. My insurance made it clear to the dealership and Jack that my car would be going to a different body shop. Instead Jack sent someone to the dealership to pick up my car and they got away with it because they were the ones who dropped it off. He basically stole my car when it wasn’t authorized. My insurance had to settle what they owed Jack before taking it to the new body shop. He was trying to get more money for the storage of the car even though he literally did NOTHING for over 2 weeks other than take the parts off. FINALLY it gets towed to the correct body shop and they inform me that my car is dirty on the inside because they put the parts of my car INSIDE my actual car on my seats. It felt as if it was a retaliation because I didn’t want someone rude getting any kind of business or touching my car. I am completely appalled by Jack and the way the whole situation was handled. DO NOT GO HERE.

Used AAA for a tow when my alternator took a dive. Took me back to their shop and repaired it in 2 hrs. They saved my July 4^th weekend.
Staff and service was on it. Appreciate the expediting of services, guys!
Their pricing was fair according to repair pal.

So my son got in an accident on Tuesday June 2^nd and our car was towed to A One. Went there sign a relies so my insurance (Allstate) could get my car taken to my body shop. Today my car is still there because they keep giving Allstate a hard time. Jack even tried to convince me to let him fix my 2014 Kia Optima saying its an easy fix really even thought he did not even look at the car and trying to bully us into keeping our car there. With Jack acting like this I would not let this shop touch my car. They said they accept American Express and when my body shop went down there with a tow truck they said no we don’t take American Express. Is this the way you do business with people? Keeping my car hostage is not the way to get my business or any businesses for that matter. Placenta PD use a different tow company.

As I read these reviews, I can’t help but to think the EXACT opposite of most. I had a great experience with A One Towing. Jack and company were very understanding and quite sympathtic to my situation. I am very impressed by the respect and customer service I recieved. I defintely would reccomend working with A One. As I will if neccesary in the future. Thank you again.

Reading these reviews is such a bummer… I can’t tell if I just got really lucky, or being perhaps AOne has a special sensitivity towards women??? I was very fortunate in my experience and I feel that I owe a lot of it to Jack, here at AOne.
My situation was ugly, REAL ugly. Long story short, February: My car was impounded by the Placentia P.D. and this is who they’re partnered with for towing and storage. My car was held here for 5 days, while I worked on the situation– Calling back and forth to the P.D. and the DMV, repeat, repeat, repeat. Painstaking process, high levels of stress and astronomical, impossible amounts of money that no one really has.
The cop who called in the impound told me that I could easily obtain a moving permit from the DMV to at least get it into a driveway or something. That was inaccurate, so I took a chance and called AOne to see if I could get some info, advice, anything. I was desperate, I had just recently moved to the area and losing my car was NOT helping my case. I spoke to an informative woman on the phone (regretfully, I don’t remember her name) who made me feel like she genuinely cared about my situation and looked into what help she could offer. This was my first conversation with Jack; I described the unfathomable mess that I was in and he too, had me convinced that he gave at least a fraction of a shit. He advised me as much as he was able about the DMV issues as well as the P.D. issues (my ticket was filled out incorrectly, I was ill-​advised regarding the «moving permit», etc).
Then I was offered a deal that I couldn’t pass up. Jack was so sympathetic to my misfortune that he let me surrender the car over to the possession of AOne so that it was no longer in my name, and he waived a huge amount of what I owed for the days that the car was stored there. Honestly, I couldn’t have fabricated a better deal than what I was kindly offered, and gratefully accepted. He also worked with me on my time restrictions due to work hours, etc. Within a few weeks, the Lien document came in the mail and I was able to take that into court to prove that the car was no longer in my name.
He also recommended coming by when I’m ready to look into buying a new car, since they repair and refurbish unclaimed vehicles that come in to turn around and sell.
Based on my personal experience, I would work with AOne again; However, the other reviews are concerning to be fair… I still owe thanks to Jack and the woman in the office, because if it weren’t for their understanding, I’d be choking in debt.

Jack is extremely rude, a bulldog, and lacks all customer service.
My car was towed there on a Friday after an accident on the 91 frwy. Monday rolls around and I receive a call from Jack trying to bride me to keep my car there and have him do the repairs — says he will pay my deductible, do «extra» repairs I want done, etc. In the meantime, he refused to release my car as requested to the tow company from my insurance and wouldnt allow me to tow it to my body shop of choice.
He continued to try and talk me into keeping my car there and then refused to release it unless I came down and sign papers. He wouldn’t take a verbal, a fax, or an email. In my opinion, he was being difficult to spite me since I wasn’t allowing him to do the work.
More to come I’m sure… I only presume it wont be rainbows and butterflies when I arrive to sign the paperwork.

Unfortunately, the service here was really rude… in particular a guy named Jack. He lacks respect for others and wants to lock customers into their auto repair service once their cars are towed in. He raises his voice and attitude at his customers without hearing them out. Zero stars would be given if it was possible.

I wish I could give this place zero stars after the «service» we received. After my
Girlfriends car caught fire the police had it towed here. Although we have AAA and Aone is a AAA service they still try to charge is $ 175 just for the tow. When we went to the yard the next day to retrieve the car, we found it outside of the tow yard in a parking lot where anyone could access it and take parts off. We called every phone number including office and after hours numbers, no answer. They just kept playing their hold music and after an hour we had to leave. We came back the next day and called every number again but no answer. So we decided to have another AAA tow truck pick up the car since it wasn’t even in the yard. Before the tow truck could get there an aone driver showed up and said we couldn’t take it. He called his boss and handed over the phone to my gf, who is the registered owner of the car, and he started YELLING through the phone. He was extremely rude to her and didn’t even ask if she was the registered owner. He just assumed she wasn’t and screamed for her to get off his property. I am surprised that a business owner would be so unprofessional in handling a simple situation like this. He just stressed the situation and escalated it to the point where we had to call the police. Both days we had waited for someone to be at the office nobody was there and all she was trying to do was get her car out before accumulating charges unnecessarily but this «business» owner clearly made it impossible for her to do so by being unavailable so she would have to pay extra fees. This guy is scum and I hope he gets what’s coming to him. No customer should ever be verbally abused or harassed over the phone or in any situation. I would recommend to anyone to find another place if you need a tow or to store your car. Hopefully the BBB will force them to do something about it, if not I’ll be in touch with an attorney shortly.

Called AAA this morning to have someone come out and put a spare on my truck when my tire blew out on the 91. 6:00 am, in the rain, A1 responded and made short work of the job. Never better. Drove over to America’s Tires to get a replacement, covered by warranty — yep — and was ready to move on and actually start my day. The tire guys called me out to pick up my truck and there is an issue with the tire cinch. F150s store the tire under the body frame held in place by a T joint that cinches it tight. They can’t get it to wind all the way up and fear if they push too hard they will break the cinch. They throw the tire in the back of my truck and suggest I see a mechanic. At this point, I’m starting to get frustrated. Now who knows why the cinch wont work? Was it A1? Was it Americas Tires? Was it just normal wear and tear and crappy timing? I just need it fixed. I called AAA — they suggest I call A1 and see if they can take a look. I spoke with Jack (who reminds me very much of one of the hosts of Car Talk on NPR). Describes a few things that could have gone wrong and invites me over to have one of his guys see what the deal is. I’m there in 20 minutes. These guys are busy, stuff is happening all around me, Jack conducting and directing. I think I’m in for a wait. 2 minutes later he has a mechanic under the truck. Splashed some WD40 on the cinch and put the tire in its home. Just a bit sticky. No charge. I love these guys and plan to check with them first for other services. It wasn’t their fault the tire guys couldn’t get past the stick, but they didn’t want to leave me dangling my cinch, so to speak. They cared — and that goes a long way.

It’s taken me a little while to write this review because I wanted to see how my car ran before commenting on the experience.
Let me start by saying that I SERIOUSLY considered moving my car to another shop after reading some of the negative reviews. Thankfully, my experience was the complete opposite of the others. Joaquin was the driver that responded to my AAA call and was an outstanding representative for the company. Jack was responsible for getting my car taken care of and he was nothing but professional. My car was out of commission for around a month and when things ran late, because of insurance issues and a lack of communication, Jack made sure that I wasn’t inconvenienced and had everything I needed. I highly recommend giving them a chance and especially recommend working with Jack. I will definitely use them again if I need any work done on my car again.

This is one of the worst Auto shops I’ve gone too. First they towed my car, and asked me if I wanted to fix my car at their shop, so they can waive the towing fee. I agreed, which is a huge mistake on my part. They fixed my car, charged me 265 for a NEW starter, and charged me 300 bucks for 3 hours of labor. I wouldn’t mind if it was truly 3 hours of labor, but it wasn’t. I spoke to the assistant manager, Nick. He called me at 10am to give me the quote, and later called me at 11am to tell me my car was ready. That’s only 1 hour of work. So I mentioned that to Nick, and he said he will look to see if there’s any other problems. He called me later to tell me there are NO OTHER PROBLEMS AND THAT MY CAR IS GOOD TO GO.
First off, my car does not start the same way, it sounds like a old beat up junk car. I have a 2004. I’ve driven my car for only 2 days, and so far, my car stopped twice, once on the freeway, and another when I was making a left at an intersection. And it doesn’t start the same way. It’s worse than before.
So I called Nick and complained. He said, it’s not the starter, it’s the alternator now and battery. Wow, another issue? I complained to him and asked him, isn’t this something you should’ve known before giving my car back. I asked you to check for any other issues since you’re charging me for 3 hours of work. He said it doesn’t work that way, since the alternator and battery is another issue than the starter, and that I should return my car back to the auto shop so that they can give me another quote. Umm, NO thanks asshole. They’re completely ripping off people. So to any who wants to go to this Auto shop, I highly don’t recommend it. They don’t even deserve any stars. This place is a piece of shit, and the people here are rude and ignorant, who needs to go back and learn how to be mechanics, and run a business without cheating people.

Imagine your professor standing in the parking lot, locking her keys in the trunk (spare key too) of her brand new car, spewing out some choice profanities, and then eventually giving up and crying. Yep. That was me about 20 minutes ago.
I called Toyota and they said to have my car towed. I called AAA and they said they would tow it, but it might damage the transmission. More tears.
Antonio from A-​1 shows up earlier than anticipated, reassures me that he can get in the car, WITHOUT damaging it, and get me on my way. Before I knew it, the car was opened without a scratch.
The only negative thing is that my poor sweet hubby was a bit disappointed that he had to go back to work. :)

I called AAA and made an appointment at 7:30am to have my car towed and these clowns showed up to tow my car with another car already on the flatbed to tell me that they will have to come back in 30 minutes. I left my key and told them I would meet them at Deshlers in Orange which is only 5.5 miles from my home. I waited there for 2 hours to bring my car and finally left to go to work. Deshlers called me at 10:30am to tell me they had just dropped it off. I went to Deshlers to inspect my car to find my boost gauge hanging out of the gauge pod and loose. I’ll never allow A-​1 Auto Body & Towing anywhere near my car again.

STAY AWAY from this place! This is the most horrible Body shop and towing company I have ever dealt with. They are very unprofessional, and do not know how to fix vehicles after they have been in an accident. My car was in their possession for over 2 MONTHS, and they were incapable of fixing my car. After my car was returned to me for the first time (after the 2 months had passed), my car would not drive straight. After returning my car twice and both times they were unable to fix the problem, I ended up PULLING MY CAR OUT OF THIS SHOP AND BRINGING IT SOMEWHERE ELSE. Also, my lug nuts were stripped out, and my spare tire was stolen. After sending my car to another repair shop, they redid the repairs, and my car was running well, and looked brand new. This Body shop does not even deserve 1 Star.

I wish there were more stars than 5. We went to another automotive shop that ripped us off bad. It was a great day when I met Jack at A-​1 Auto Body & Towing. He is compasionate, caring and true to his word. His work is excellent and I can’t say enough about this shop. We’ve been disappointed with so many other places and found a honest shop that I want to shout from the rooftops. You will not be disappointed. They have worked on two cars of ours. Top notch service, does what he said he is going to do and more. You will not be disappointed and you can trust this shop. He a 10+ in our books!!!

The have had my truck for 36 days now. My truck was supposed to be done today they do not even feel the need to give me a call and let me know whats going on. I had to call myself to find out that it was not going to be complete. It is now day 36 and they are still having to buy parts. You are an auto repair shop how do you not know the parts you are going to need. My insurance company gave me a rental car for 30 days now i have been without transportation for 6 days and counting. Just in case you are wondering whats wrong with my truck was the driver front side was wrecked no air bags were deployed. THIS IS NOT AN EXTREME WRECK IT SHOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN THIS LONG!!! This is completely unacceptable.
