Description

Specialties

One of New Jersey’s newest wineries, Beneduce Vineyards is the joint

effort of a young brother-sister team in their mid twenties. The

winemaker, Mike Beneduce Jr., graduated from Cornell’s esteemed

winemaking program and focuses on producing high quality, aromatic

varietals in a dry, food-friendly style. With careful consideration

of Hunterdon County’s unique soils and cooler climate, they cultivate

Austrian and northern French grapes such as Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir and Blaufränkisch. His older sister Justen Beneduce Hiles, the property’s Events Director, received her B.S. in Agricultural Science at Rutgers and plans activities such as their weekly «Group Therapy» happy hour. With a passionate and knowledgable staff behind the tasting bar, this young team is excited to share their love for wine with new and familiar faces as part of Vintage North Jersey.

History

Established in 2012.

The Beneduce family purchased a 51 acre farm in 2000 to supply their retail garden center, Great Swamp Greenhouses. Since then, they’ve planted over ten acres of grapevines on a sunny hillside at the top of the property and transformed a large storage barn into a spectacular 5000 sq. ft. winery.
