Callahan’s Cafe and Coffee House

Had lunch here this afternoon. I had the spinach salad (Spinach, walnuts, strawberries, and onions) it was very good. It was less than $ 10 and I couldn’t even finish it.
I was there around 12:30 and it was pretty busy.

We eat here whenever we are in the area. This place is a real treasure. The food is always prepared with care and attention to ingredients. We’ve been here probably over a dozen times and always leave with a good meal in our tummies. You can sit in the back if you want to have a private conversation. Or take a window seat and people watch. There’s also a TV. The display of deserts also deserves attention. Occasionally they do get inundated with customers but it’s a testament to how good the food is that people are willing to crowd around for it when there are other restaurants within walking distance. I recommend the meatloaf sliders and the specials are always very good especially the Italian wedding soup.

Great coffee and atmosphere. Brings a little bit of the Seattle and San Francisco to Pittston.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and what can I say about the chef… He’s amazing! Fresh, high quality ingredients in every dish make everything just delicious!
Prices are very reasonable. Portions are just the right size. I’m a huge fan of the Thanksgiving Panini but the salads are great too.
I never did try the coffee but if it’s anything like the food I will be very pleased!

Soup was fantastic — bought some to go after lunch. The soup/​sandwich combo is a real bargain, too. Plenty to eat — and every mouthful was delicious. This place could be in Cambridge, MA or Orlando, FL. But, it’s in Pittston. Pretty amazing!

Very good coffee. Excellent deserts. They also have sandwiches and soon they will be serving breakfast. I recommend this establishment. Try the kick ass.
