The Infield provides three, 65ft batting cages and 10,000 sq. ft. of practice area. The public is welcome to walk in and enjoy the facility or private lessons can be made by appointment in baseball or softball. Additionally, there are a number of sports camps that are offered throughout the year. Local sports programs such as the Pittsfield Soccer League and Berkshire County Lacrosse host games in the practice area.

Recently, the venue has expanded into a special event space for comedy shows, parties, live music and can act as an excellent rain relocation space.

The Infield’s goal is to provide people of all ages the space to practice any sport or host any event. We like to think of ourselves as a civic center of sorts.

You can come practice on your own or with your friends, have a private lesson with one of our excellent coaches, or a group lesson with your friends. Host your next birthday party or company event, or for you adults, join our soccer or lacrosse leagues! There are many options to choose from!

​Private lessons– $ 50 per hour

$ 30 per ½ hr

Birthday parties– $ 200 for two hours

Infield floor rental– $ 75 per hour

Batting cage rentals– $ 20 ½ hr/​$ 40 for 1 hour (unlimited per party)

History

Established in 2012.

The Infield, is based in Pittsfield, Massachusetts owned by local sports enthusiast and coach Mike Massery. The Infield is the first and sole multi-​sport indoor training facility in the central Berkshire County area.

Meet the Business Owner

Mike M.

Business Owner

Mike is a 2004 graduate of Taconic High School where he was a 3 year varsity baseball player. Mike went on to be a 4 year varsity player at American International College in Springfield, MA and graduating with a Degree in Business Management in 2009. In 2008 Mike played with the Pittsfield Duke’s in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. After college Mike coached American Legion baseball in Pittsfield for 3 years. Mike was the winner of the MVP award in the Berkshire Baseball Amateur League in 2011. He has been coaching baseball and softball at the Infield for over 3 years. Mike was the baseball director and program manager at Camp Mah-​Kee-​Nac in Lenox, MA for the summer of 2012. He was the head coach of the All Around Sports baseball camp in 2014.

Most recently, Mike was the head coach for the 2015 Boys and Girls Club Summer Sports Camp, Dalton CRA Elite Baseball Camp, and the All Around Sports Baseball Camp.
