We got takeout breakfast from here one morning when we were staying nearby and didn’t want to get dressed enough to sit in a restaurant. The menu has great options, and is very cost effective. They have all the basic — eggs, pancakes, waffles, French toast, etc… We got a combo of all of the above. The eggs were great and well cooked, and as my daughter would describe«very cheesy.» I think that means she liked them. She also enjoyed the French toast which was made on some thick cut Texas style toast. My husband got pancakes, which he described as «just ok» but loved his omelet and bacon. I had this amazing breakfast sandwich with sausage AND bacon(heaven!) and it was great. Overall, we really enjoyed it. Perhaps one day we will all put on some pants in the morning and venture into the restaurant itself!

Great spot for breakfast! The food was piping hot, the server was very attentive, and the value was a nice surprise as the portions were generous!

I’m giving this restaurant two stars because some of the food was good, we didn’t get ill after eating there, and the waitress did comp our meal after so many things went wrong. Yesterday I had some of the worst service I have ever experienced. When we arrived at Otto’s, we were asked for our drink order and got a water and coffee, which were brought promptly, though my daughter thought the cream tasted a little off. Then we ordered: two servings of two-eggs-and-toast, one large fruit bowl to share, one order of pancakes with real maple syrup(extra) for my daughter, and a small orange juice for me. The waitress told us that the eggs and toast came with bacon or sausage, and my daughter asked for hash instead. The waitress told us sure, but she would have to charge us extra. That was fine. She didn’t ask me what meat I wanted with my eggs, but I didn’t want any, so that was okay, though in retrospect it would have been nice if she had not charged extra for the hash because of this. We were soon served our two eggs each(done perfectly), and my daughter her hash. I waited to start because I wanted to eat the eggs and toast together. A while later came the pancakes and an uninspired fruit bowl. The waitress asked if we wanted butter. «Sure, for the toast,» I answered pointedly. «Ah.» She left, and then came back a few seconds later. «You didn’t order toast,» she said. «I did; I asked for two-eggs-and-toast for both of us.» «Well, you didn’t tell me what kind you wanted.»(«You didn’t ask,» I wanted to say.) I said, «Oh, whatever — white’s fine,» in an attempt to ensure success. I tried to eat the fruit bowl, but several of the pieces were visibly past fresh or smushed, and the honeydew had a markedly fishy flavor to it(I had to spit it into a napkin). The kid tried a little fruit and then wouldn’t touch it. The waitress brought our toast, but by that time I had nearly finished my eggs as I didn’t want them to get cold. We shared the hash, which was very tasty. At some point in all of this, my daughter pointed out to me that there was a dead fly on the plate next to the pancakes. Good catch — I had thought it was just a charred crumb of something, for it looked like it too had had some time on the grill. I called the waitress over and informed her. She peered at it, then said«Oh!», and vanished with the plate. We thought that was a bit odd, expecting some kind of apology, or offer for free pancakes. My daughter said she was full anyway, but I figured I’d have a little when they came back. It took a little longer than expected for the waitress to return(maybe they were cleaning the grill, one hopes). When she brought the fresh pancakes, she apologized. I said, «That’s fine; thank you,» and asked for the real maple syrup. She pointed to the squeeze bottle of syrup that was on our table, identical to all the others. «That’s it.» I said, «That’s the real maple syrup?» «Yep.» «But it looks like all the others, and I thought the real stuff cost extra.» «We switch them out when you order it.» I was dubious — how would they be able to tell them apart? — but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. I don’t recall if I reminded her that I still hadn’t received my orange juice, as I had intended to drink it with the eggs and toast, and the moment had passed. I squeezed some of the syrup onto the pancakes, and tasted it. Yep, cheap pancake syrup, far from the real thing. By the way, at no point were we asked if we wanted any more coffee or water — a very small quibble in all of this, but it’s something I generally expect when eating breakfast out. I waved the waitress over and asked for the check, but I also pointed out the problems with the syrup and fruit bowl, and said I didn’t want to pay for the pancakes or fruit, and please don’t charge me for the orange juice which didn’t come. She said, in a hurried and slightly exasperated tone, «You know what? Breakfast is on me.» I said, «Oh, okay, thank you,» and she left. I wanted to leave her a modest tip because some of the errors were not her fault(she didn’t make the fruit salad, and it was absurd that the cook didn’t notice the fly), maybe they were understaffed, and I know that waitresses live on their tips. But I only had 10s and 20s, and asking for change would have just been awkward, so we left. This morning, we went to On a Roll Café, which was excellent in nearly every way, and we will be returning there tomorrow.

Delicious, inexpensive, perfect way to start off the day! Blueberry pancakes were just right(lots of blueberry, not too sweet, side of whipped cream). Sausage had a nice crispy edge. So tasty! Friend says eggs over easy were just right! Waitress was friendly and very helpful!

This is a new location for restaurant by same name on Lee. I believe this location was previously occupied by courthouse café. We were visiting the Pittsfield area and were looking for a place to eat a real breakfast. Saw that this place was busy and decided to stop in. Didn’t see many choices in the area. Mostly sandwich shops and coffee shops. They had a good menu and service was very good. I found the food to be good but average. The prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend stopping here. it is a good value. good food for very good price. very few other options in the area compare. I would go there again.
