We dock our boat at this marina, I love the location its not far from the point. Dock fees are more expensive here than the other docks, about the same price as Fox Chapel marina. Theres a restaurant with outside seating overlooking the marina and river, They have inside and outside storage for boats There starting to replaces docks with new ones. The only thing that I dont like is theres a lot of boat traffic by this marina since its so close and on the way to the point.

Compared to it’s old slaughter house days, Washington’s Landing is a great place now. Boasting housing, a marina, businesses, and a tiny restaurant called Red Fin Blues. Washington’s Landing was at one time called Herr’s Island, renamed to rid the memories of the days when a slaughter house was on it. It’s said George Washington fell off a raft near this island on a cold winter night and was befriended by a Seneca Indian who kept him from freezing to death, and that’s how it has become known today as Washington’s Landing.
