I unfortunately didn’t have the same good experience as the last posters. Something that is important to me are fixed prices posted for the customer to see without having to ask the price. They don’t post any prices?! This leads me to perceive that they may change the price on the whim, to make certain revenues for the day. I was charged $ 20 for a trim; nothing too difficult and the barber took a very long time to complete my trim. He said he has 10 years of experience so I was surprised by the exceptionally slow pace (I am usually in and out in 15 – 20 minutes). They also still don’t have their charge machine up and running, so they only take cash. I had to leave, go to the ATM and then go back. Which was rather inconvenient. I would never go back.

Stopped here today, as it’s convenient to my house, and I remembered seeing a positive review a few days beforehand. Was debating between four and five stars but definitely five because it is what it is and it’s done great. A barbershop, not a salon or some chain, but a barbershop by a friendly guy named Vernon. When I came in he was giving a shave to someone! I thought awesome, a lot of places don’t do that anymore. I got a great haircut at a good price, and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

While it’s not much to look at yet, the important thing is that Vernon (the VC behind VC Chaney’s) knows how to give a great haircut. Conveniently located, ample parking, and reasonably priced? Check, check, and check. He’s also open 7 days a week, which means you don’t have to worry about working around crazy barber’s hours requiring you to sneak out of work to get a tight fade. The shop has only been open about a month, so he’s still working on the interior and getting a few other things lined up. Bring cash for now, but credit card processing should be coming soon!
