Great «mom and pop» style hardware store.
Everyone that I met there was super nice and helpful, not to mention very knowledgeable.
The prices are very fair.
Really, if you need anything along the home repair lines check with them first. You won’t be sorry!

Vater’s Hardware has everything that you would need as far as hardware goes. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and they always can help you in a bind. We are new homeowners and we have been to Vater’s on more than one occasion to ask questions and get advice. They always have the weird screw or light bulb we’re looking for. They also have fair prices and a great location.
They can take on big old Home Depot or Lowe’s any day for customer service and knowledge. Vater’s is second to none.

Vaters (rhymes with waters) has saved me from many-​a-​trip to either of the other two big box hardware stores in the area… and therefore my sanity and wasted time.
Always a knowledgeable attendant is available either upstairs or down to help with questions. The store is like a magicians hat. Not very big, but seems to have a bottomless supply of electrical, plumbing, painting, nuts, bolts etc… If they don’t have something, they will let you know where else to get it. They know the hardware business like few can. And not just to novices like myself. I see contractors of all sorts asking questions. Makes a girl happy to not be made feel like an idiot in a predominately male store.
