Meet the Manager

Nick F.

Manager

I have been in the restaurant industry for 11 years now. I started out as a bus boy at a small Italian restaurant in Ashtabula, Ohio. I moved to Pittsburgh in 2008 to pursue a Bachelors of Science majoring in Photography. I soon found that restaurants were my real passion. My first restaurant job in Pittsburgh was at Six Penn Kitchen. I was a Servers Assistant there and then I became a host. I was there for about 2 years when I moved on to help with the opening of Diamond Market Bar and Grill where I started as a host. I was very interested in serving and bartending so I asked one of the servers to teach me. I soon transitioned into a server (one of the better ones at the establishment I might add). I did everything from expedite to bartend at Diamond. I was there for almost 3 years and then I got the amazing opportunity to move into management with The Commoner.
