SuperShuttle

Ordered the round trip from airport to hotel and back for our four night stay in Pittsburgh.
Plane landed on time, and I sent them a text that we had landed and are getting our bags.
Got to the Super Shuttle counter at Pittsburgh International Airport. and still had to wait 15 minutes for pick up.
The driver was nice enough, however I was disturbed that he kept looking and sending messages on his mounted dispatch touchscreen ipad while he was driving on the highway, at highway speeds, in the rain, instead of keeping his eyes on the road. And I told him so.
On the return trip, we were texted to be ready at 8:10am. The Super Shuttle van did not show up until 8:52am.
Unacceptable.

Why take your car and pay the fees to park at the airport? SuperShuttle was simple, fast and worry free.

What an awesome experience!!! When I arrived in Pittsburgh, I picked up my luggage and went to the Super Shuttle counter. Why were they already expecting me? Because upon landing, I received a text to check in! Awesome!!! I was told to take a seat and my van # would be 848. The van arrived in less than 10 minutes and I was all set to go!!! The ride from the airport to my friends house is about an hour and my van driver, Tom Lowe, was absolutely THE BEST! I will definitely request him next time I’m in town! He got me to my destination safely in a good amount of time. He was kind and courteous and I had an enjoyable conversation with him! Imagine my surprise this morning when he was my van driver back to the airport. I was thrilled because I knew I’d have a safe and enjoyable ride. Plus it was like seeing an old friend! I highly recommend Super Shuttle and definitely recommend requesting Tom Lowe! Great job! See you again soon!

Minus one star for possibly using Febreze air freshener. I spotted a bottle of it in the trunk. Most Febreze products get low health ratings
To be fair, most competing services probably use Febreze too. But there are safer ways to deodorize vehicle interiors.
Now, back to my otherwise fab experience. :)
I’d used Super Shuttle twice, at least a decade ago. Always showed up on time, and got me there on time.
This time, in December 2015, I wished I’d had time to read reviews, and shop around. Not for better service. But I always like to know which companies with toxic-​free features, and that pays fair drivers a liveable rate.
Nice sentiments, but I lacked time to ask any companies those questions. So I went with Super Shuttle again.
The driver arrived at my door exactly on time. He was was polite, stashed my luggage, made sure I was buckled in, and we were off.
We picked up two more passengers, who were waiting at their door when we arrived. As icing on the cake, we were a fun, sociable little group. And no one tried to shush us up, but I assume they would have if any of us needed peace and quiet.
Happily, a passenger had her little dog with her. Well-​behaved, well cared for, and secured in a pet carrier.
I left the driver a 20% tip– well worth not taking 3 long bus connections, w/​all my luggage.
I’ll use SS again! But first I’ll inquire about the Febreze. You should, too.

As a follow up to my one star review on Wednesday, they did remedy the situation by putting me in a taxi directly to my destination. Apparently they had a number of delays that day that were unforeseeable. Also, the woman at the reception desk was very polite and professional. I have used Super Shuttle in the past without this sort of delay so hopefully the next time I use them will be a better experience.

I have used SuperShuttle service for transportation between the airport and my hotel is several cities across the country. It is nice to have consistency and the service is always reliable, friendly and prompt. I feel safe and the drivers are very professional and friendly. I highly recommend this service.

I’ve taken SuperShuttle to and from the Pittsburgh Airport for years. They are prompt: my wait at the airport has always been reasonable for a shared ride service and my pickup at home has always been within the stated 15-​minute window — usually early. The drivers are usually very courteous and friendly, and the route they take is time-​efficient. Only once in over 50 trips did I get a driver who seemed to get lost, and he was also the only one who talked too much; all others seemed very sensitive to whether I wanted to chat. Last year I had a van that was a little run-​down and I told them that on the satisfaction survey; this year the vans I’ve had are in excellent condition, potentially new. I will continue to take SuperShuttle with every trip to Pittsburgh.

Was rude. Could not even pronounce the city name correctly. Picksburgh? You live here buddy. Felt uncomfortable n unsafe he was flying down highway telling me he is an owner si does what he want thst corporate doesnt care?

Excellent service. Drivers drove safely. They were polite and friendly. Arrived within time frame promised.

I am a regular user of the shuttle service and occasionally use the executive car service when returning from overseas locations. With the exception of one shuttle ride from my residence to the airport I have experienced very good service. Because of my residence’s location i am generally the first pickup to the airport and last drop off from the airport. The drivers make every effort to pickup my fellow travelers at a safe and convenient spot when in the city.
I much prefer using this service to parking at the airport as I travel alone and don’t like the service the extended parking shuttle bus drivers give.

SuperShuttle made my trip considerably easier. It was affordable, dependable, and it was wonderful in PA without the hassle of driving to and from the airport, Especially having to drive thru downtown Pittsburgh. Thank you SuperShuttle. I’ll be calling on you again.

This is my favorite airport shuttle service. They are always courteous and helpful with the luggage. The only thing that surprised me the first time I used super shuttle was their pick up time. After using their service 4 – 5 times I can say that they are always early to pick me up. The driver will notify you if he’ll be early… Just a warning to be ready to go before your window!

Went to Pittsburgh to meet up with a buddy for our annual NFL road trip. His flight got majorly delayed so I decided to give Super Shuttle a shot since I had nothing but time on my hands and it was half the price of a taxi for a single rider.
Service was friendly and on-​time, my particular driver was fantastic and gave a sort of guided tour of the city along the way which I found interesting. The vans aren’t luxurious but I wasn’t expecting a limo. It was very clean which is all I could ask for really.
I would highly recommend if you are traveling solo and aren’t in a rush to get downtown.

I was very impressed with my rides to and from the airport about a week ago.
I received a text message that allowed me to check in on my phone when I arrived at Pittsburgh airport. The pickup spot is fairly easy to find near ground transportation. The people at the front desk say aloud what van has arrived and what passengers are on it. My wait upon arrival wasn’t too bad, maybe about 20 minutes or so.
My ride back to the airport was scheduled to arrive between 305−320p. He arrived at 306, perfect timing.
Both ways, I received a text with a locator page of my van so I could use it to roughly estimate how far away the van was.
Both of my drivers (Mark and I don’t remember the other’s name) were very friendly and professional. I shared the van with about 4 – 5 people each way so we weren’t stuffed to the brim in the can, as can sometimes happen.
My total cost from the airport to my university center hotel was $ 46, not including tip and using a promo code (normally $ 50). A little pricier than I would like but more reasonable than a taxi. If I rented a car, by the time I included gas and parking, that would have been more expensive. I was honestly a little hesitant to use super shuttle because, in the past (in another city), it’s turned a 25 min drive home from the airport into a 2.5 hour trip. But that was far from the case in the Pittsburgh region. Will definitely use this service again if I’m in Pittsburgh!

Supershuttle is shared taxi to your end destination. Everybody in the car get to their hotel or requested destination.
I found it a bit odd to get the question if I want to tip with the card (already when paying for the ride) in advance, at the shuttle desk at the airport. I thought tips are to show my appreciation AFTER I got the service requested. Here I am asked to give 20% without even knowing if the service is great or sucks.
Car was old and crappy but service satisfying.
Two persons pay $ 57 from airport to downtown hotel. Ridiculous!
Supershuttle may be great if you are one single person, but as soon as you are two or more in your party, it gets more expensive than necessary.
Next time I will request for Über — at half that price.

I was satisfied with the SuperShuttle service. The driver arrived on time, told us the itinerary, and kept us in the loop. The rate per person is $ 24. You can schedule online and add gratuity. It’s fairly quick & easy to do this. I liked their security measures (camera and/​or audio) — felt safer to me than a cab or über/​lyft.

Plus side: I take the shuttle a couple of times per month. The drivers have been safe, courteous, and efficient. I also meet new people as I am unfamiliar with the areas offerings! Great service and can pay tip with the driver rather than online, so measures with the driver’s service.
Down side: The airport recently moved the boarding area at the airport pretty far from where one would pick up baggage, which is pretty inconvenient. Hope is moved back soon!

The service is great. From the south hills to the airport is 40 bucks and you do everything online so you don’t have to worry about cash or tips or anything.
They can picks you up at your house or office and takes you right to the airport
If you get a later flight you may share the van, but I usually fly early and am by myself most times
Only downside is they pick you up about three hours before your flight, which isn’t really that bad if you plan ahead

Arriving in Pittsburgh PA… at the unseemly hour of 12:45 am after being on a flight from Oakland, CA since 12 noon that had delays in connections, I was relieved to have a positive experience here. After the long transit at the airport from the gate to the baggage area with train tram transfer, I was finally on a Super Shuttle van by 1:30 am!
The driver was extremely knowledgeable and based on the construction detours on the freeway routes from the Airport to downtown, I AM SO GLAD I used Super Shuttle. Had I rented a car, I would have been lost for days… lol.

Nothing like arriving to the airport reeking of cheap air freshener and stale smoke.
Nothing like arriving home on a late night flight (11:00 PM) knowing you have a reservation that should have gotten you home before midnight only to find that ‘walk ins’ were added to your route taking you more than 40 minutes out of the way of your destination and ensuring your arrival at 1:30AM instead.
Nothing like paying dearly for this service.
