History

Established in 2012.

After years of dancing and teaching dance I slowly switched gears towards photography and dove head first into learning the technical aspects of this artistic field. The name «Strawberry Snails Photography» was the business name suggestion of my 3 year niece, and it just stuck to me like a snail on a strawberry. {add a wink & smile here}

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Stephens College in Columbia, MO where I majored in Dance Performance and minored in Childhood Education. I danced and taught dance for many years. When I got married and became a mother I stopped dancing and looked for another means to release my artistic voice. I am self-​taught in the field of photography through extensive reading, watching, going to mentoring sessions, and years of shooting and learning my camera inside out. My artistic passion has flowed over from my dancing years into my photography and I have a great love for capturing individuals and their portraits.
