Santom Upholstery & Refinishing

We had Santom upholster 2 wing back chairs and an ottoman and were very pleased with their work. They re-​wrapped the cushions and the pieces looked like new. We thought their prices were reasonable.

I have had several pieces of furniture either upholstered or refinished at Santom Upholstery and Refinishing. Each piece has turned out beautifully. So much so that I had an antique chair reupholstered as a gift for my new daughter-​in-​law and I entrusted them with a family heirloom and I am so glad I did. I’ve gotten many compliments. I wish I could post a picture. I have recommended them several times each person who has used them has thanked me. Besides the work being completed perfectly the women in the showroom is so helpful when it comes to choosing a fabric. I just tell her what colors and style I am thinking of and she takes the time to show me several options. She is knowledgeable which helps with getting a pattern that compliments the furniture. I have used their service for years including this year and I couldn’t be happier with their work.

As an interior designer I worked with an extensive list of upholstery companies. Working with Santom Upholstery I had worst experience ever.
I was very disappointed with the poor quality of the Santom Upholstery work and their customer service. The work they performed was totally unacceptable. The final invoice had so many additional charges and looked absolutely confusing. The final charge was almost double of the amount their quoted in the estimate.
Also, I agree with other person review, the company’s working space is so dirty that newly reupholstered furniture should be professionally cleaned right away.

I cannot speak for their actual work because after five or more calls I could not get them to come out to my workplace to give me an estimate on repairs. It was so odd! I called almost every day for a week and a half and each time it was like I had never called before! The last time I called the woman that answered the phone raised her voice at me and told me they were in their busy season when I told her I was following up on the calls I had made. This is a woman I had spoken to just the day before who told me she would call me back in five minutes and never did. I apoligized and told her that I was unaware that they were in their busy season (I dont know anything about the uphpolstery business, honestly) and then she continued to tell me that she HAD told me the day before that they were busy (she suddenly remembered speaking to me). I was kinda confused as to why she would try and start and argument with a possible customer but whatever. I am just going to go with another business. In the meantime though, I would have appreciated a call back-​even if it was just to say they are busy but hoped to get out within a certain time frame.
