Went here on Wednesday night for dinner with the hubby. When we arrived we were quickly shown to our seats, and given a second to look over the menu as waters were brought over. We then were informed that it was half price bottles night which was great! We ordered a bottle of bubbly and enjoyed it very much(the leftovers of which were definitely enjoyed later in the week!). We decided to try a few different things and share. We ordred the chicken liver pâté which was so delicious! The portion was ample and we even asked for more bread to spread this delicious concoction onto which was quickly taken care of! We also ordered the appetizer portion of shrimp and grits. As good as the pâté was it couldn’t come close to this! My husband who doesn’t like grits was scraping them off the bottom with some of the extra bread! We chose to share an entrée and a side of cornbread. We settled on the fried chicken with mac and cheese and collard greens. The portion size was more than ample to share and and we even had a whole piece leftover which made for a nice lunch the next day! The chicken was spicy and delicious and the molasses glaze was a perfect sweet and sour counterpart! I hardly ate the mac and cheese and the collards because I was so focused on this amazing chicken! The cornbread was also very good and the candied jalapeño butter was a perfect accompaniment. We were so full that dessert was not an option, but we can’t wait to come back to try more and for their brunch that they are launching!
