I scheduled an appointment with Herold. He was helpful and efficient. I took my car in for tires and to fix a break light at 9 am on Sunday and it was done by noon. The AC needs repair as well and they ran a diagnostic which indicated the compressor. I could not afford to get this replaced and though they mentioned the belt needed replaced, the mechanic was honest, saying that it didn’t need replaced right now and it would be less expensive if done with the compressor. Thanks guys!

I was in town for the weekend visiting my friends at the University of Pittsburgh when I realized I had a slow leak in my tire. The guys at Pep Boys took my car and had the tire patched within an hour. Overall a quick, affordable, and seamless experience — no complaints!

Here’s a shout out to Ray @ the Shadyside Pep Boys in Pittsburgh. On Saturday 8/23, I was near hysterics when I entered the store after having driven 6 hours from Staten Island with«knocking» and oil light issues. He was so professional, courteous, extremely knowledgeable and patient! He fixed the problem and I was able to salvage my week-end. Ray was very assuring and took the time. Pep Boys is so lucky to have him in their employ.

I needed new tires on my truck. Out of all the places around, they had my my tires in stock and they were MUCH cheaper than the dealership. I realize that dealerships are extremely overpriced, but it was rather difficult to find these particular tires. The associates were amenable and I had my truck back within the promised timelines. Not much more to say.
