Mr. Smalls Recording and Mastering Studio is a professional, state of the art recording studio in the heart of Pittsburgh’s NorthSide, just five blocks from Heinz Field. We offer one of the area’s largest and best sounding tracking rooms. Our talented team of producers, engineers, and musicians provide world class service and results at a local price. Mr. Smalls Recording and Mastering has the facility, equipment, and expertise to work with your budget, and give you the best possible recording. We take pride in all the projects we do, and look at them as a representation of ourselves as well as our clients. We work with all styles of music and all levels of musicians. Everyone from Platinum selling artists, to local bands making their first demo.

History

Established in 1997.

Mr. Smalls Studios has been one of Pittsburgh’s top recording facilities for nearly 20 years. We have a long history of working with the music industry’s top artists, producers, engineers and musicians.

Larry L.

Business Owner

Larry Luther graduated salutatorian in his class from Full Sail Engineering School with a degree in Recording Engineering. He has engineered and mixed a wide variety of national and regional bands, including The Black Eyed Peas, 50cent, Anti– Flag and The Julianna Theory, among many others. Larry is a veteran

of the Pittsburgh music industry and has been deeply immersed in the punk scene for many years, both as a fan, a musician, and as the proprietor of a community based venue which hosted national, regional and local artists at no cost to

the fans. Larry has also had significant experience working with youth.
