Heinz Lofts

I’ve been living in Heinz Lofts for the past 6 months and love it here. New management staff are very friendly and approachable. Whenever we have packages delivered they store for us in safe place, whenever we have maintenance issue they are prompt to have it fixed, all these little things make my life easier living here. On top of that, there are so many added benefits including in unit as well as out of unit washing/​drying machines, a really nice gym (one of the best apartment gyms I have seen), and heated garage parking which comes in handy during the winter and snow. The apartment complex is secured and safe with security cameras all around. It’ large and spacious, and conveniently located in DT Pittsburgh so you can take advantage of the city. There’s also a nice bike trail by the river right behind the apartment. Overall, I’m really satisfied with Heinz Lofts and would recommend it to anyone looking for apartments

Great apartment complex. There are so many amenities including gym, sauna, hot tub, business center and garage parking. I take advantage of all these perks. It’s conveniently located downtown so weekends I can easily walk to the strip district without worrying about parking. Also, it’s close to where I work at AGH which is a huge added benefit for me, not having to worry about traffic. On top of that, management is very friendly and reliable. Recently, they took over and I can already see lots of changes in such a short time (pet friendly, renovations/​new paintings, new gym equipments). Also, they do lots of events to make the apartment more lively such as hosting steelers game with food and drinks, Halloween party, and encourage residents to come with guests. The apartment rooms themselves are really nice and spacious. The unit I live in, cereal complex, has really high ceilings and large windows. It’s really important when I come home from work to actually feel at home. Five stars !

I just moved into the lofts in October and so far we love it. The apartment itself is beautiful and large, we do have a corner unit so we have a lot of windows which is nice. I know some of the apartments don’t have as many windows so the natural lighting can vary greatly between apartments. We moved from out of state (I’m returning to the Pittsburgh area), and we had a friend look at them for us which they accommodated with no issue.
My boyfriend and I joke that we must be the only people that live in our building because we never hear anyone. The only thing is every once in a while I’ll hear someone’s washer if it’s unbalanced. Since we’re on a lower floor there is a lot of street noise, if people are walking on the sidewalk I can hear them in my apartment but that’s just city living. There is also the freight train which tracks do sometimes feel as though they’re in our apartment but honestly within a few days you’re so used to hearing the train it doesn’t even bother you.
I didn’t have any experience with the management company that was previously in charge, but as to the current management they’re pretty good. Any issue I’ve had they’ve resolved quickly. I do feel bad for the number of packages they receive for me, but they do receive packages which is a plus.
In terms of amenities, the gym is pretty well equipped, the laundry in each apartment is great (smaller washer and dryers but it still beats a laundromat), and I don’t know about the others but our one bedroom apartment has plenty of space. Our bedroom could easily fit a king bed and still have space. Rumor has it they’re adding outdoor grills and more patio space, so I’m anxious to see those as right now the outdoor living space doesn’t really exist aside from the riverfront trail.
The parking garage is an odd layout as you can tell it wasn’t meant to be a parking garage, and some people don’t know how to park but it still beats trying to find street parking.
Overall I love it here, and I would recommend it to any of my friends to live here. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars rather than 4.

When my «apartment manager» says im good to move and i will get deposit in 3 weeks, i have no reason not to believe them. The manager should say a lease needs to be updated. I do jot type up the contracts. When I’m told I’m good to go, then i trust Amore property that i am good to go. especially when the apartment was being shown while i was living there and would vacate, so it could be shown.
Bad business

I have lived in the Heinz Lofts for just 2months now and all is great so far. I moved here without much notice and Lisa in the Leasing office could not be more helpful. She made my move effortless. I literally arrived in Pittsburgh on Friday, and moved in on Saturday. Lisa made that move very easy. She was a true professional in all aspects from showing me numerous units to handling the application process, to the move in. I would work with Lisa and her staff in the future, should the need arise. She made the move «fun» during a stressful time. Thanks Lisa.

Great place for lunch, lunch catering is great … Breakfast catering not so much… But they deliver for free and are consistent

We’ve been living in the Heinz Lofts for about a year and a half now, and we still like it quite a bit. We planned on only being here a year before finding a house, but indecision has kept us here longer than we initially wanted. It’s definitely a decent place for our holding pattern.
Pros:
* Super location — right across the river from the Strip District, quick bike ride (or easy walk) to the stadiums, downtown, and some of the better museums
* Right on the Allegheny river (some units have windows onto the river, ours doesn’t).
* Still pretty new, so units, grounds, appliances, etc are in great shape
* Nice gym, sauna, hottub open 24 – 7
* Big common room (or a conference room) if you want to entertain a few friends
* Very nice staff
* Covered parking (in enclosed garage (s))
Cons:
* Not a whole lot in the immediate area as far as restaurants, but they aren’t that far of a walk away
* Elevators seem to break down more than they should
* A little pricey
