Past partners have included former Mayor, the Honorable late Pete Flaherty, and former Pittsburgh Steeler and current Allegheny County Judge, the Honorable Dwayne D. Woodruff. Founded upon integrity, hard work and commitment to clients, the firm was an immediately recognized and respected law firm in the City of Pittsburgh. The firm has been active in many charitable and political activities throughout the city and today continues to pride itself on client satisfaction.

Business Owner

As the founding partner of Flaherty Fardo, LLC, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Shawn T. Flaherty has more than a quarter-​century of civil litigation experience. Mr. Flaherty has represented clients in several high-​profile matters, including a highly publicized police brutality suit as well as litigation involving the National Football League. A lifelong resident of Allegheny County and the son of Peter F. Flaherty, the former mayor of Pittsburgh, he has served a term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Mr. Flaherty has served on the boards of the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and the Allegheny County Library Association, and has been an active participant in the Allegheny County Bar Association for nearly three decades.
