History

Established in 1992.

In the early 90’s, I decided to put a Master’s degree in Special Education on the shelf to pursue a more holistic career and lifestyle. I completed my initial massage education and certification at the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy, and opened for business in April of 1992. I had saved enough money to cover expenses for two years, but I became self-​supporting within six months. It’s now 22+ years, and hundreds of hours of training and certifications later, and I am honored to be a part of Pittsburgh’s healing community.

I’m a Pittsburgher, I attended Allderdice back when it had a beautiful from lawn. After high school, I went to Athens Ohio and received a BFA in Dance and Choreography from Ohio University. After dancing professionally with several small dance companies in New York, New Jersey, I returned to Pittsburgh and completed a Master of Education in Special Education at the University of Pittsburgh.

After teaching for several years, I decided that a completely different approach to life and work would suit me better. I wanted my work to reflect my dedication to a healthy lifestyle, and give me an opportunity to educate others as well.
