From receeding gums to gum disease, Dr. Timko is equipped to handle all your periodontal needs. Everyone should be checked for periodontal disease, because if it is caught early enough, non-​surgical treatment may suffice to get things under control. If surgical treatment is needed, Dr. Timko has been trained in the latest techniques, including laser gum surgery, or LANAP. This is the first FDA approved laser treatment for periodontal disease. It involves no cutting, or stitches, and very minimal post-​operative discomfort. Dr. Timko is the first, and only Board Certified Periodontist in Western Pennsylvania, to offer this laser dental treatment.

Our office has been serving western Pennsylvania since 1958, when it was founded by Michael Timko DDS, who was one of the first periodontists in Pittsburgh!

Business Owner

Dr. Timko attended Grove City College, where he received a BS in Biology in 1975. He received his Degree in Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine in 1980. He also received his Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Pittsburgh, in 1982. Dr. Timko is one of the few Board Certified Periodontists in Western Pennsylvania. He achieved Diplomate Status from the American Board of Periodontology in 1989.
