Dang. Sad to say that the Magnolia brand of green tea ice-​cream that I got at my local H-​Mart in Lynnwood, WA was not the best I’ve had. There was not enough green tea flavor in the ice cream, and it tasted too creamy or milky… not even sure how to describe it. The brand I usually buy is Maeda-​en, it has the right amount of green tea in it and taste just like the green tea in japanese restaurants!

Every time my boyfriend sees Magnolia ice cream at an Asian supermarket, we’re usually unprepared without a cooler as well as over half an hour away from home. I love the mango and ube flavors. I told my mother how much I liked that this ice cream my aunt bought was still soft out of the freezer but she said that maybe people opened the refrigerator too much at the grocery store, arrgh. I’ve seen this stuff hooked up with dry ice canisters so that people can freight it by air. The texture of cashew lanka [jackfruit] is good.
