History

Established in 1971.

Jess Hernandez Body Shop was started by Jess Hernandez himself. The first location was on Central Avenue in Pittsburg, Ca. Then Jess Hernandez Body Shop moved to a new larger and more visible location 107 Bliss Avenue which is were we are now still handling Auto Body Repairs and Towing Services. Jess Hernandez still help out with the Towing Services and has given his two children Belinda and Mario the oppertunity to handle the Auto Body Repair part. Still family owned and second generation owned and operated.

at age 5 Jess came to the USA from Mexico. Went to School in Pittsburg Californai Graduated from Pittsburg High School. Received his Certificate of Apprenticeship for Auto Body and Fender Repairman at San Pablo College in 1963. Jess was employed with local dealerships as an Auto Bbody Refinisher (painter). Once Jess had the oppertunity to start his own Auto Body Shop he started in in Pittsburg were he has always been involved in the community and has grown up. Jess is proud of the reputation he has developed with his customers and community.

This guys are a joke! They came and towed my car… Well, the most unprofessional driver I’ve ever seen. They dragged the car out of its spot, damaged one of the wheels, the undercarriage and front bumper. This guys have a law suit on their way.

My husband got in a motorcycle accident yesterdays Hernandez Tow was the one who towed his bike. I hate dealing with tow yards. But Hernandez Tow is nothing like that. There really good people and honest.

I’m the owner of a local locksmith shop here in Antioch ca (advanced keyless locksmith) giving an honest review about this company. So one morning on my way to work my car battery died in the parking lot of Panda Express (which is literally on the same block of this company) I diddn’t have my jumper box on me unfortunately and I was late so I figured I can ask these clowns for help… Lady answers the phone and I explain to them that I’m a local locksmith and we’ve done business together before and I needed some help. I even explained that I’m literally 100ft away and just needed a quick jump start. The lady tells me it’s gonna be $ 80 minimum???
Pffffffft are you kidding me? I then asked nicely if there’s a discount since we’ve done business before and she was baffled as if I was asking to borrow one of their tow trucks!
Anyways I then called tow workx and they came out and gave me a jump for $ 20 in less than 10 mins. I believe tow workx is way more professional and of course a lot cheaper.
Moral of the story… I wouldn’t recommend this company to any of my friends or customers, and I hope they don’t expect any services from us

If you want a family oriented, your best interest at heart, not trying to screw you to make a buck company, this is the company you want. Hernandez Collision and Towing is an honest and reputable company that you can count on. I recommend them to anyone I know that needs their type of service. We have worked with Hernandez for many years and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Recently I had a little «incident» with my car and needed to get some estimates. Valoree came to my office the day I first spoke with her and did an estimate on my car. I had the itemized invoice by the end of the day.

Being an insurance guy it’s always hard to find a tow company that’s quick and helpful. That said, Hernandez has been a great company to work with. I usually work with Valoree, but the other associates in my office work with whomever answers the phone.
They do great work in their body shop too!

Came here to get a front-​bulkhead welded onto my car after a collision. Welded on perfectly straight with good welds. Everything bolted back up perfect. Good customer service. The price was okay. I got what I paid for. Hoorah.
