Friendly staff, great coffee. I bought a bag of the cinn. roll mix and large cup of frosting, and may I say nothing compares to theirs! Even with being the same ingredients. If you have not tried it, you must!
Great location, easy in and out.

My husband and I decided to stop by upon reading the Unilocal reviews. I have to say, I was thinking they were going to taste a lot like Cinnabon rolls, but boy was I wrong! Right when we ordered, a fresh batch was coming out of the oven. There are no words to describe just how heavenly the rolls were. Never in my precious 25 years of life have I ever had such delicious, moist and gooey cinnamon buns! The frosting and the bun was out of this world with simple but delicious ingredients; it tasted nothing like most store bought, processed rolls.
So, if you have a a few minutes to spare-don’t hesitate to stop by and give your taste buds a surprising delight!

The cinnamon rolls were okay, but the customer service here was subpar. The young lady who took my order wasn’t very customer service oriented. Too focused on joking around with her co-​workers… When I asked to change one of the cinnamon rolls out of my order for another flavor before paying she gave me the look of death. So a note to my fellow Unilocalers, be very clear on what you want and stick with it.

OMG. These are sooo good! Lots of options to choose from. The caramel rolls with pecans are a classic but the almond are my favorite. Second fav are the frosted cinnamon rolls. Everything is fresh and just plain delicious!

The cinnamon roll with frosting was one of the best I have every had. Only reason for 4 stars is the place needs some cleaning and TLC. Great stop for a quick breakfast or snack.

Unilocal gives tips on how to respond to customer
comments.
TIP 1– Do Not Insult the reviewer, nor imply they are a «liar».
TIP 2– The Customer is almost always «right» in a certain sense.
TIP 3– If you have nothing nice to say… do not say it.
TIP 4– Your employees are not qualified to judge one’s «happiness»
by simple interaction, before even trying the food.
I find that both absurd & insulting.
TIP 5– I did not even touch on the issue of the epidemic of
diabetes in our culture, the role of excess sugar, & other
considerations.
TIP 6– How about posting the nutritional breakdown of your products?
I think that would be helpful for parents kids, or adults,
who are pre-​diabetic. Ideally, it would be nice to know
the nutritional breakdown. Some places do list the calorie
count right after the price, as a service to the consumer.
It does not really help all that much that it is the same recipe
after so many years.
TIP 7– While I am glad that you take the time to respond & do care about your
business, you need to really take Unilocal’s great recommendations to heart,
regardless of how you feel toward a negative review (which are rare for your
business).

Q3– What is the appeal?
A– No x idea. besides being a Unilocal x, there really is not one.
Q4-​Do they keep the counter clean?
A– It is X too & I had to clean it with some napkins… they were too busy stacking up the chairs in the back to close soon. There were NO customers at one point & clearly the 3 employees could have easily cleaned the window counter.
Q5– Do they give a X?
A– Apparently not, once you have a zillion great Unilocal reviews, you can feed people X
and amazingly they will line up
FOR HOURS… A ZILLION STRONG.

A– Did not do much for me. Since little kids come in here, I think it is poor taste. I do not see
what a stone X rock is doing here. It is not like this place has x anywhere.

A– I love Pecans too… but these are not just candied, they are swimming in x of sugar so they can adhere to the x sweet bun. What a x of nice Pecans!

A– Funny you should ask. They have tons of x milk. x? I of course got the full fat one to go with the x.
Q10– Do they make you thirsty?
A– Absolutely, the sugar does.

Let me say this. I know cinnamon rolls are not a nutrient superfood. Let me also say that after a four mile walk along the beach, they are an emotional necessity some times. These rolls, whatever flavor I choose, are both light as hyper-​oxygenated air and just-​right moist. The crust is tender but crisp. The scent is enough to drive one over the edge. They are warm, always fresh, fragrant, and perfectly seasoned. Keep your airport Cinnabons. Old West does it right.
I’m a forever local, and they have been around for years. The quality has remained top-​notch.

OMGOODNESS! I missed this place! I have super fond memories of this place. When I lived in the area, my friends would drop by here and pick up some cinnamon rolls for morning Bible study.
The lines at any time of the day are super long, but it goes fast. These babies are in high demand for a reason! The ladies here were super friendly, super accommodating, and super fast! We got our 6 cinnamon rolls in no time.
Of course, all of my girlfriends loved their cinnamon rolls, they did not disappoint. The yummy, yummy cream cheese frosting and the delicious cinnamon roll! Let me give you a hint: they are best warm. So, as soon as you get it, eat it! Don’t buy it for later. You can warm it in the microwave, but it’s not the same!
So, when you drive by and see the long line, ignore it, it’s worth it!

holy delicousness!!! I heard this was THE place for a cinnamon roll, so we had to check it out. yup… they’re pretty good. the place isn’t much to look at, but totally worth a visit. they have a few different varieties of rolls. I went with the pecan, which was awesome. nice crunch, great flavor. I got icing on the side and drizzled a bit on for extra yumminess. they slather on a ton if you have them do it. I’m not big on icing, so having it on the side worked better for me. the bf had a plain roll with icing and loved it.
I’d totally go back.

LOVE it here!!! My favorite is the almond topped with cream cheese frosting. The location is great for people watching. Definitely a must try when you’re in PISMO!

The cinnamon rolls at Old West are extremely decadent. It’s sugar with your choice of sugar on top. They come out fresh, and you get a lot of bang for your buck.
The only downside is the coffee. Tastes like burnt Foldger’s.

I couldn’t find a legitimate breakfast place in the central coast. A quick morning drink and cinnamon roll was all this was and is all you should make it to be as well.
Service was stale from the get go, Sunday morning wannabe teen sensations working the shop. Rudeness when I asked if they had freshly squeezed orange juice…“we don’t have a juicer,” Santa must have them on the naughty list.
The bottled orange juice they do have is terrible. Apparently bottled somewhere in Fresno, sounds like a cheap vendor to deal with might be the reason for this match.
After ordering our cinnamon rolls they were just left at the counter after a slight wait for them. Walked out while they were helping no one and no «have a good day.» How I miss Santa Barbara in times like these.
The cinnamon rolls were not bad but I’d pick Recipes over Old West for best cinnamon roll in the 805.

Cinnamon Raisin Roll = good from a grandmother’s perspective.
Almond Cinnamon Roll = fairly good and my favorite.
Place is okay, doesn’t hurt to try if you’re pit stopping Jeff Gordon style but below my standards for a repeat visit.

Unbelievable cinnamon rolls! I almost didn’t write a review, because the Unilocal reviews were already spot on and I don’t know what I can add. This place deserves a full 5 star rating!
Old West doesn’t deviate from their specialty. Cinnamon Rolls and beverages… that’s about it.
This may be sacrilege, but I really prefer the fruit wheels. They are very similar to the normal cinnamon rolls, but include a dollop of fruit filling.
You really can’t go wrong with anything. This bare bones bakery shop is a must visit in Pismo.

STOP HERE IMMEDIATELY!!! Do not pass by Pismo Beach, CA and not stop here, it will be a big mistake!
This place has the best, most delicious, ooey gooey cinnamon rolls you have ever sunk your teeth into. They have several different flavors which you can get with or without their delicious cream cheese frosting. I love the the regular and the pecan, THEY ARE HEAVENLY!
Everytime I come we luck out and there is no line but some Unilocal reviews show quite the contrary. So call ahead of time that way, if it is busy you can pick up a to go order and go eat them at the beach, sounds like a win-​win to me!

The cinnamon rolls are more than worth the wait. Like Pavlov’s dog, the mere thought of cream cheese frosting over one of these treats makes me salivate.
One roll per person is probably enough, but when there’s different toppings, you kinda sorta have to try a few. Regular, cream cheese frosting, raisin, raisin and walnut… Yeah, might have overdone it a little.
Take your box of ooey gooey shame to go or dine in, either way you’re going to have a wonderful, sugary start to the day.

Heavenly! It was love at first sniff! As soon as I walked into this bakery I was swooning. Old West knows cinnamon rolls and there is a variety for everyone! Nuts? Chocolate? Raisin? Fruit? You have options!
I opted for the classic — Cream Cheese Frosted to dine in and took one Almond and one Pecan to go.
These rolls melt in your mouth! Absolutely delicious. Buttery, cinnamony bliss!

I love cinnamon rolls. I don’t know why, I just do. I knew I had to hit up this place, since we were going to be in the area.
I arrived at their parking lot and once you step out, you can smell the wonderful scent of cinnamon. I knew I was at the right location. I ended up getting the cinnamon rolls with frosting. Yes, all Unilocalers are correct. You get one big diabetes roll all cover in more diabetes. Hey, lucky, I was on vacation, so if I wanted to eat all the diabetes I can before hitting los angeles country line who can judge me.
The bread was still warm when I got it. I had to eat the cinnamon rolls in sections to save myself from a sugar high and falling into a sweet coma. I think, I allowed myself a piece inside the restuarnt, on the 101 fwy and on our stop at solvang. This thing was so big, I still have ¾ of it in my fridge when I arrived home. The flavors seen to taste better and better at each stop. Maybe, its all that sugary goodness teaming up together.
Overall, cute place and if you’re a fan of cinnamon rolls, its a must stop. They have tons of different rolls filled with pecans, raisins, plains, whatever your heart can think of.

My friends took me here to try «the BEST cinnamon rolls ever.» The place closes at 5:30 pm and we arrived at about 5 pm and there was still a small line out the door. By the time we got to the front they were pretty much sold out of everything but had 2 «ugly» cinnamon rolls left that were priced cheaper. After waiting in line for that long we didn’t want to leave empty handed so we settled for the imperfect – yet still incredibly delicious – cinnamon rolls.
I loved that the cinnamon rolls were warmed up for us and they were fluffy and soft with each bite. However, warning: they are INCREDIBLY INCREDIBLY sweet! I have a major sweet tooth but they were still almost too sickeningly sweet for me. The girl helping us put a huge spread of frosting on top so that the roll was literally swimming in frosting. I would probably order the frosting on the side next time or just ask them to go easy on the frosting. The roll itself is already very sweet and the added frosting was too much for me. Good thing they have all sorts of milk beverages handy to go along with your sweet treat.

I had no idea that cinnamon rolls could be so good. Why don’t more donut shops invest in making cinnamon rolls too?!
The line was out the door but we didn’t wait very long. They have several people at the front counter to get out donuts and ring up your order. The employees were all courteous. There is ample space to eat inside, and a few tables in the front outside too if you like bringing your dog (s) with you), but most people (like us) take the cinnamon rolls to go.
We got the original, cream cheese, mudslide (OH MY GAWD), and crumb rolls. Eat one was simply amazing, but be warned: they aren’t gigantic, but they aren’t small either, and they are extremely rich. I would strongly suggest sharing them with someone unless you plan on saving it.

Holy Moly Sugar Overload! These rolls are huge and very bready.

Auf dem Weg von San Francisco nach Los Angeles, den legendären High Way No 1 entlang, gibt es viele Orte, an denen man Anhalten könnte. Weil die Aussicht so wahnsinnig toll (immer wieder Küste! Strand! Sonnenuntergang! Sonnenaufgang!). Der Ort so legendär (Monterey!). oder die Robben so süß!
Von Zimtschneckenparadiesen aber war mir nichts bekannt, als wir uns auf den Weg machten. Zum Glück drängen sich manche Dinge selbstständig in mein Leben und beanspruchen mit Verve einen Genussmoment! Die Old West Cinnamon Rolls haben dafür das nötige Selbstbewusstsein und eine Nonchalance, die ihnen kaum einer nachmacht. Und so strandeten wir auf dem Weg zu einem Frühstück am Strand (das war der heere Plan) eigentlich nur auf der Suche nach Coffee to go in diesem zimtduftenden, alles andere als paradiesisch anmutenden Reich.
Wir trauten ihm, ehrlich gesagt auf den ersten Blick nicht mal annehmbaren Kaffee zu. Aber wir sollten eines besseren belehrt werden! Zimtschnecken all over! In der Theke plain oder mit Nüssen, mit Schokolade oder Zuckerguss. Saftig, drall thronten sie neben dampfenden Kaffeebechern auf den Tellern der ersten Frühstückenden, die sich eingefunden hatten! Ihre Grösse eindrucksvoll, ihr Duft verheerend! Wer wollte da noch an Smoothie denken!
Die Dame hinter der Theke lächelte und zeigte stolz die Backmischung samt hauseigener Zimtmischung, das Tiefkühlregal, in dem man die Teilchen eingeschweisst für zu Hause mitnehmen konnte und auf der Theke lümmelten sich auch noch ein paar Exemplare vom Vortag für Sparfüchse und Leute, die ihre Zimtschnecke sowieso am liebsten als French Toast oder zumindest tief in den Kaffee getunkt geniessen.
Wir waren baff und erst am Strand, als wir mit Genießen dran waren und Tage später erst recht, als uns die Old West Cinnamon Rolls in Disneyland (sic!) wiederbegegneten, ahnten wir, welch Gefallen uns der Zufall geleistet hatte, als er uns in Pismo Beach vom Highway lockte!

Wer an dem kleinen verschlafenen Örtchen an der kalifornischen Küste vorbeifährt, der sollte sich schämen, denn er hat eine kleine Sensation verpasst. Warum? Die Zimtschnecken der Old West Cinnamon Rolls sind laut Aussagen vieler Unilocaler die besten im ganzen Bundesstaat. Die kleine Bäckerei trägt daher den Ehrentitel der besten Zimtschneckenmanufaktur mit Stolz und verkauft die Cinnamon Rolls nicht nur frisch sondern auch als gefrorene Version, für alle die ihren Liebsten in der Ferne etwas leckeres antun möchten. Einfach auftauen und im Ofen kurz aufbacken und schon blüht das Zimtwunder auch in der eigenen Küche auf.
Besonders zu erwähnen wäre noch, dass es hier Free Wifi und Kaffee gibt, der in der Region geröstet wird. Sehr lecker!
Né normale Zimtschnecke gibt‘s für § 2,50, mit Cream Cheese on top muss man $ 3 berappen. Auch sehr ansehnlich ist der Carrot Cake für $ 4 das Stück. Achtung ist groß und langt nach europäischem Maßstab für zwei Zuckermäulchen.
