You must try their chicken France’s and their portabella mushrooms. The staff and service is amazing. The sangria is home made and to die for. The best wood burning oven thin crust pizza in the world. I recommend pizza & pasta to everyone.

Best thin crust pizza in the area. Always fresh and just the right amount of chew and crisp to the crust. Family owned and they care about the food and drink quality. We became regulars of this place because they make you feel like family and the food is always good. Reasonably priced food and drink make it easy to eat here once a week with the family.

I have been coming here for years and I don’t care what anyone on Unilocal says. their Brick oven pizza is rockin. I have had Margherita and shrimp scampi pies from here. They are known for their penne vodka and their chicken parmesan. I always order chicken parm and sub the pasta for penne vodka. If I got to eat that my last day on earth I would die happy… it is true comfort food done right. I think the negative reviews are rediculous. like the moron below criticizing them as he walks in out of nowhere with 9 other people demanding«expedited service». I mean they are not UPS. and who are you to walk in with a large party and time them. You aren’t Robert irvine.

Went here with a friend for dinner. After dinner we went to the bar for a drink before we left. We witnessed the bartender completely lose control. He was screaming at a customer. It was completely unprofessional. We were mortified, as was the customer. I would never go back there.

Look, it may look like a typical Italian restaurant in central jersey but I promise you the grilled portobello mushrooms are the best dish of this restaurant. Literally the best mushrooms I’ve ever had. Cooked perfectly every time in a rich balsamic sauce with shallots garlic and basil then topped with melted mozzarella, this dish is one of the reasons I fly home. Their del ortellano vegetarian pizza is also amazing. Must try for vegetarians in the area!

I been eating weekly at this restaurant for years. The food is awesome, the Rigatoni Pizza and Pasta is amazing, the pizza is the way pizza is supposed to be. My parents love this place when they come to visit. Good stuff. Very friendly owner. Check it out.

I am always at a disadvantage because I end eating here when I don’t want to, because it is close to my husband’s job. So far I’ve had wings and pizza and that’s it. The wings are good, perfectly cooked, nothing creative, but still decent flavor. Now, flat out I’m not a fan of the pizza. I can’t put my finger on the flavor but there is always a hint of something plastic-y tasting. I’ve had fire baked before but it never tasted like that, I actually thought they used gas to cook it because that could be what it is but it appears they use wood, maybe fire starter? I don’t know either way it’s funky. But the worst part above all, which makes me never try anything or want to be there, is the staff. No one is friendly and they never check on you. By far the worst is the nighttime bartender. You can hear her cackling all the way from the parking lot. She is so loud I find my left eye twitches from the high volume she talks at. Hopefully I never have to go back, because it’s like nails on a chalkboard.

I live very local to pizza and pasta and I must say the atmosphere isn’t anything special but the food is good. Most dishes I’ve ordered have been great and they give you a lot of food which is a plus, however the one thing that really annoys me about this place is take out. They actually have the nerve to charge you for the container that your take-out food is put in. I believe it’s a dollar to dollar 50 just to put the food that you ordered into a container. EACHCONTAINER. That’s absurd. I really do like ordering from here but I really wish they stopped charging for the take out containers.

Placed a to go order from here for my little bro’s birthday. This place is horrible and an absolute rip off. Our $ 50 take out order barely fed three people and everything was just terrible. We placed an order for penne vodka($ 14) for a tiny portion and we requested that they put the prosciutto on the side because we were sharing with a vegetarian. Sure, the honored the request but the prosciutto they gave us was FROZEN. We ordered a large pie, half pepperoni & half jalapeño/onion. We go home and find that our pizza is half pepperoni & half jalapeño/olive. thank you for repeating my order to me and still getting it wrong. The pizza was $ 16 and comparable to the size of a small at any regular pizza spot. We also ordered some mozz garlic bread. the online menu says $ 3.95 and they charged me $ 4.45. i know its 50 cents but really? We also ordered the Hot Crab Dip. Some people liked it but honestly it just tastes like warm cream cheese and they throw a slice of american cheese on top. really authentic. They put the penne, the garlic bread, and the bread for the crab dip in regular take out foil containers with plastic lids for us to take the food to go. THEYCHARGEDUSFOREACHONE! Who does that? I will never eat at this establishment again, even if they paid me to do so! I wont even drive within a block of this place.

This was one of the most mediocre meals that I have ever had. My sister and her boyfriend don’t like to go out to eat and if this restaurant is a sampling of NJ fare, i don’t blame her. After convincing her to go out, I was VERY disappointed in the service and flavor of food. The restaurant was about 20% full and yet it took over an hour to get our main course. We sent the stuffed mushrooms back because they were flavorless and watery(the waitress did not even remove the cost from the bill as they would have in California). The salads were ok, the Polla La Grilla(chicken with broccoli and sundried tomatoes and mushrooms over fettucine) sounded wonderful. What I got was plain noodles(which were not fettucine, the noodles were as large as regular egg noodles that did NOT taste any better than Shoprite store brand noodles) I could not find any sun dried tomatoes and this dish had VERY little flavor. My sisters boyfriends was bland as well. The ONLY good dish was my sisters Clams Luiguine. I used to live in NJ and I thought NJ was known for good Italian food. Don’t go to this restaurant if you want good food. You will be sorely disappointed!

This restaurant was very good for many years, so I suggested the place for an office party on Friday, July 21. I’m sorry I did. The waitress seemed intimidated by the size of our group(there were nine of us). We repeatedly told her we were on our hour lunch break and needed expedited service. So what happens? After putting in our drink orders she disappears for ten minutes. The same thing happened after we put in our food order. We ended up having to go back to the office 20 minutes late because our food didn’t arrive until 40 minutes into our visit. Pizza and Pasta is known for it’s homemade pasta. I ordered the fettuccine with pesto. The fettuccine itself was excellent, but the pesto was terrible. It was an oily mess with some basil thrown in. What was even more surprising is how bland the pesto was. I usually applaud restaurants for not over salting/spicing food, but this was simply devoid of flavor. This was so far off from what pesto should be I think it would be in their best interest to just remove the option from their menu. Out of 9 of us, 5 complained of the food being oily and bland. I’ll give them one more try as they were excellent in the past and I’ll post my review at that time.
