History

Established in 1990.

Established in 1988, Gloria Jenson Custom Designed has been serving the Amador and Foothill Area. We are a third generation professional Sewing and Craftsmen family owned business. Providing services in all commercial and residential homes and businesses for Interiors, Exteriors and Recreational Travel Vehicles. A full Fabric Showroom is available for total fabric idea selecting, with ownership of a Hunter Douglas window covering Showroom for «Shop in Home,» ability. Beautiful Interior and Exterior treatments in splashes of color is created in our own family operated workroom. Awning and awning cover replacements. Since every order is different, we help to engineer the construction of ideas and designs.

Graduated in the Oakland/​SF Bayarea.

First Place honored recipient of a Custom Tailoring Award through the Daughters of American Revolution in San Francisco, Ca.

European Studies; France, Italy, England, New York

with the Fashion Institute of New York, 1979.

Mid 80’s, studied at the Western Design Institute in San Francisco, Ca. for my Architecture and Interior Design Degree. Took my draping to slipcovers, moving on to draperies and custom roman shades.

From 1988 to present, owning and operating Gloria Jenson Custom Designs, workroom and showroom.

Working with the public and commercial jobs, and staying current with annual educational requirements and training, through the Hunter Douglas Corp., to stay on top of the trends and motorization technology.

Master Certified Installing Specialist, Design Engineer, Fabricator, and color and Design Coordinator.
