Bulbous Bow Brewing

This little place is super. I just read they are closed until further notice and I am disappointed as I have failed to refill my growlers. The beer is so good, the folks are normal and nice, and the dog steals your heart. I hope the news changes for the best as I have invited friends to visit with a trip here specifically on the agenda.

A cute local brew house! It’s off of hwy 88 at West Inspiration Dr in Pioneer Ca. The place at first glance just looks like a typical mountain home but the basement is converted into a quaint brewery. We tried 3 of the 5 beers and enjoyed each. We came home with 2 growlers and drank them right away! Love the freshness, the flavor and the atmosphere! Will definitely be back.

A small group of us went to this little spot of heaven, nestled in the hills of Amador County, California. What is awesome about this small family owned brewery is everything is grown on the property. Beautiful leaves of bright green hops trail up ropes in the front garden. Nestled between the hops is a homemade sign stating the name of the brewery. The brew master was currently away, called last minute for a mission with the Merchant Marines. His lovely young wife filled in for him with the help of a family friend and wine maker, David. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming.
The beer that is brewed here is absolutely delicious, especially the Bunker C Stout. It has to be the smoothest stout I have ever had. Every beer I tasted here was absolutely amazing. They only do tastings by appointment only and it’s well worth the time it takes to call. The ride to the brewery is gorgeous especially on a Harley Davidson. Go check it out! The beer and people are awesome!!!
