We specialize in scratch made cakes, cookies, and cruffle pops that taste as good as they look! We play around with fun and delicious flavors for our cakes, and offer them by the slice, not just in whole cake form! That way you can try the cake out before you commit to a whole cake for your event! Our chocolate chip cookies are the best you’ll ever eat… we guarantee it. And our cruffle pops may look like cake pops, but they don’t taste like them, as they’re all cake, no fillers, and twice baked! Come try them ASAP, and be converted to the cruffle pop side of sweet!

History

Established in 2009.

We started GWIC out of my home, and mainly focused on custom cakes and soon, wedding cakes, switching exclusively to them in 2011. I outgrew my home very quickly though and realized a store front, and an extra set of hands was needed! We moved to a cute boutique cakery in downtown Pineville and never looked back! Come visit us at 219 Main Street, located behind the big white house that used to be the bridal salon, in the OutBack Shops!

Business Owner

Mandie started GWIC when her daughter was about to turn 1. She decided to make her cake, and caught the bug. She gave away cakes to family and friends for free for two years as she finely honed her skills, and perfected recipes. She launched Got What It Cakes in 2009 when her oldest was 2 ½ and her baby was 8 weeks old. Mandie is completely self-​taught, watching YouTube, reading online forums, watching TV Shows, and more! She thinks that if you are a hard worker, and a fast learner, and you find the «right thing,» you can excel!
