So I’m on my lunch break, and I have to be back at 1. I walk in this nail salon@12:14, and they ask what service I need. I say polish change on my toe nails. They tell me to sign my name on the book and I do. I ask how long is the wait and one of the workers replies 10mins. Why lie. I know they are getting plenty of business. A lady the two young ladies walk in at 12:28, and they are told to take seats in the pedicure chair. I’m still seated at the door awaiting to be called for service. Here is 12:30, and I still have not been waited on. They haven’t started on this woman and the two girls yet, but I just wonder do they even realize I’m still sitting here waiting for services to be rendered. I get called back at 12:32 to get waited on bt bc they take so long. I have to pay $ 20 for gel bc I have to get back to work instead of $ 8 for regular polish change. Highly pissed.

So I stopped by around 5:30 on Sunday evening. They actually close at 5 on Sundays, but the lady who did my nails (Tina) welcomed me anyway.
I don’t usually go to nail salons, ever. But for a special occasion, I wanted a manicure and pedicure. This store is very spacious, has nice equipment and nice chairs.
Upscale and comfortable atmosphere.
The ladies were very nice also, and didn’t rush, (like one previous experience at another nail salon).
I got a great price for my mani and pedi. I will absolutely return when I want nail services or other beauty services. Definitely bring your friends here!

Literally the best nail salon I’ve found between Tampa and St. Petersburg. The ultimate pedicure here is the best way I can think of to relax. It includes hot wax, stone massage, and all the massage you can handle. The cost is a little less than I have paid elsewhere which makes it a fantastic deal! My is the best nail lady around. If you ask her, she will add extra coats to your gel so they don’t peel back. Fantastic!!!

Told us we’d wait a minute — 10 minutes later still nothing. We left — no one tried to say anything else to us after we had been waiting for over 10 minutes. Not worth our time — well take our business elsewhere.

Had my first gel manicure at this facility… was told about it after a friend of mine get a gel mani for $ 25! I was paying $ 30 at another salon. I decided to try and walked in very close to closing time. They took their time and paid attention to detail esp the cuticles which are important to me. I will try this place again for sure.

I have gotten my nails done for many years. As a guy going into a new salon you never know what you are going to get. Nancy at Ultimate made my visit very nice and I didn’t feel like a fish out of water. Since then I have been back several times and I have asked for Nancy every time she remembers me and is always very nice to deal with. I have since seen quite a few guys that frequent this establishment and I think it is because they make you feel very welcome. They do take appointments but are comletely open to walk ins as well. I have done both. I do have to wait sometimes to see Nancy but I think she is worth it. I can’t say much about their other services but the manicures and the pedicures are very nice and professional and everything feels clean. I have had no problems with infections or fungus like I did at some other nail salons. Great job.

Acceptable for mani/​pedicures, but not for waxing. This is a «chop shop.»
I got my legs waxed here and it was a nightmare! First, the treatment room was as small as a closet. The waxing supplies looked old and dirty. The «esthetician» used some kind of a waxing bottles to roll on the wax, but they didn’t work very well, and she may as well have been using some kind of glue sticks. It was a slow, painful, tedious process.
The saying «no pain, no gain» does not apply here. She didn’t get all the hair, and she did not seem concerned about being thorough. I should’ve gotten up and left immediately instead of sitting there trying to be polite.

Today was my first visit to the nail salon. After searching for a great nail place close to my home, I am happy to say that my search ends here. I was assisted by Sam, who did an excellent job on my full set of white and pink acrylic, and by Amanda, who did a wonderful job on my pedi. The full set pink & white with gel top coat is $ 30, and the pedi with color polish is $ 20. Very reasonable. I made an appointment, which is the fastest way. I will be a repeat client from now on. I enjoyed the gentle and courteous service they provided, and of course, my beautiful nails :-)

I came to Tampa for a business trip. I stayed in St. Pete and I wasn’t as familiar with the area. Naturally I turn to Unilocal.Unfortunately, not many people have reviewed nail salons, so I had to Google it. At first, I was trying to find a place on Google that got 4 stars. However, I could not and settled on Nail 2000 which was nearby. It was a rundown place with only 2 employees and a line. I didn’t feel like waiting, so I drove to the mall/​plaza nearby and found this place. It’s A LOT nicer and 5 times the staff!
Amy didn’t scrub my dry skin and callus that well, but her service got better along the way. The leg massage she was supposed to give me was more like rubbing lotion on my calves for a while. When it came time to putting a design on my big toes, she once again took her time. One of the most elaborate designs I have ever gotten and she only charged me $ 3 extra! However, she neglected to tell me they had a UV/​light dryer, so I waited like a dumbass on the spa chair forever until I decided to leave when I saw it on my way out.
Overall 3.5 stars, decent and I would return if I was in the area.

Everybody in there is nice, but not all technitians are good. I really like Nancy– she is great! If I go there, I would only ask for her. Other people have messed up my nails before.
