Saunders & Walker is a National Consumer Justice Law Firm. For over 25 years we have represented families and people injured or killed by the wrongful conduct of others. We are experts in complex medical device and pharmaceutical drug lawsuits against manufacturers who put profits ahead of safety. We have served on numerous federal steering committees in medical product multidistrict litigations. Joseph H. History

Established in 1987.

Saunders & Walker has always represented people who have been injured or wronged by others. We have been involved in civil jury trials and settlements of liability cases. For our first decade into the 1990’s we handled primarily auto crash cases, workers compensations cases, civil rights cases including police shootings, and medical malpractice cases. In the late 1990’s we developed our current specialty in medical device and drug litigation when we became deeply involved in the Fen-​Phen diet drug litigation. In the early 2000’s we expanded to handle medical device litigation including hip implant recalls, heart devices, and other drug litigation such as Baycol, Vioxx and others.

Business Owner

Joseph H. Saunders is a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and by the Florida Bar. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1981 and to the Florida Bar in 1982. He is AV Rated by Martindale-​Hubbell Legal Directory.

He served as an Assistant County Attorney from 1981 – 1987 trying civil jury cases for Pinellas County, Florida.

Since founding Saunders & Walker in 1987 he has represented injured people and their families in civil liability trials and settlements. He has served on numerous federal steering committees in medical device and drug multidistrict litigation.

He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Operation PAR, Inc., a 501©(3) mental health and substance abuse treatment organization and an advisory board member of Tampa Bay Watch, Inc. non-​profit environmental organization. He is also past president and member of the executive committee of Alpha House, Inc., a residential facility for pregnant homeless women
