A smile is something that no one ever gets tired of seeing and at Saddle Up Riding Club, that is what we aim to do. We are an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of both able and disabled children and adults through equine therapy and direct interaction with horses.
Saddle Up Riding Club is not a place for just riding horses, rather we’re a place of the heart. Our employees and volunteers work with more than just their hands, they work with their hearts. Our programs offer more than just a connection with a horse, but instead we offer people the ability to connect with each other. The relationships that are built change the lives of the riders as well as the volunteers, where genuine love and commitment are evidenced at every practice session and at every event.
Saddle Up Riding Club is a place of equalization; every person can experience the sheer joy that comes through the triumph of the human spirit.
History
Established in 2003.
Saddle Up Riding Club started back in almost 10 years ago as a riding club for school age children to be able to ride and learn how to take care of horses. Since then we have added a therapeutic riding program that serves people with disabilities of all ages. It is our hope that everyone who comes to Saddle Up Riding Club experiences the sheer joy that comes through the triumph of the human spirit.
Meet the Business Owner

I started Saddle Up 10 years ago due to a passion for horses and teaching. I am a homeschool mom of four beautiful daughters and have been teaching for more than 12 years. I love teaching and combining that love with the love of horses just seemed natural to me. Saddle Up began on a small farm in Seminole and we quickly out grew our space. The organization became a 501 C3 and moved to Pinellas Park.
I never knew how theses gracious animals responded until watching our first horse, Flip, relate to a child in a wheelchair. Everyone has an «Ah Ha» moment when it comes to horses and therapy and mine was watching my horse lay his head on the tray of a quadriplegic so she could pet his head with her chin.
We give hope where sometimes there is no hope and I thank God every day for using me as his vessel for Saddle Up Riding Club.
