Dollar Tree

I have been to this location many times before it was always terrible. But tonight it was actually very pleasant, the staff was very very friendly and the check out time was very fast.

Who doesn’t love a store full of stuff for a dollar? I love the Dollar Tree. This location is very convenient for me. However, it is not by far my favorite.
For being a relatively new store, it is not all that clean. It has a decent selection, but many other local Dollar Trees are larger. Every time I am here the cashiers get younger, slower and fewer.
On this last trip there was one cashier and the line ended in the middle of the aisle. Several people in lines had carts full of items. Sigh. Luckily, a second cashier (who looked maybe 14) opened a register. 25 minutes after walking up to the registers, I was finally on my way out.
I like that you can get certain items for cheap here. For instance: generic drain cleaner, plastic forks, cards, brand name eye drops (I believe it was Visine I purchased), some brand name makeup, generic ibuprofen, triple antibiotic ointment, etc. The stock is constantly changing and you never know what you are going to find which is fun. This paragraph applies to all Dollar Tree’s, but it is why this one gets 2 stars.

This is one of the newer Dollar Trees in Pinellas Park. I love these stores, and so I was very excited to see what kind of merchandise was available.
Unfortunately, as large as the store looked on the outside, it wasn’t as big as I thought it would be on the inside. The variety of product is average, and it’s not as wide as the ones on 66^th and Park Blvd, and Starkey and Bryan Dairy.
Customer service ranges between decent to borderline stupid. One cashier didn’t think I would hear her, and complained that I was taking too many of the solar toys. Excuse me?
Now that I’ve moved to Largo, I won’t be returning to this location unless I happen to be in the area.
Advice to management: act like you want to be here, and train your employees better in customer service.

Expect long lines at this location with only 1 cashier. Not much variety offered at this location as the other ones in Clearwater.
