Fivespot Cabin is a delightful vacation cabin for small families, couples, or good friends, just 15 minutes from Sequoia-​Kings Canyon National Park.

This fall and winter, enjoy the sauna, the claw-​foot tub, and once the rains come, the fireplace. Fivespot is filled with homey touches — a quirky collection of international tchotchkes, original art in all media, colorful up-​cycled remnant tile in the kitchen and shower, a fun old book collection, and a chalkboard for you to make your own contribution to the scene.

Outside, a patio in the back and a porch in the front make the cabin seem larger. The container garden and bird feeders keep the hummingbirds and other native birds coming around.

In the Parks, only 15 minutes away, you will experience the Giant Sequoias in their natural forest setting. Once the snow starts, they could be buried in many feet of snow! But not to worry — the roads are cleared frequently, and fivespot is almost always accessible.

History

Established in 2008.

We bought the 1940s cabin that was to become fivespot in 2006, and opened for business as a vacation rental in 2008. We have welcomed visitors from around the world ever since!

Business Owner

Bachrun and I moved to Pinehurst from Brooklyn, New York in 2003. It’s been an adventure, learning to live in the Sierra Nevada forest! Bachrun pursues his art career from his studio in nearby Badger, while I support his efforts and that of the HATCHERY art spaces, a contemporary art exhibition space in Badger.
