The Home Depot

Great store that is always clean, well staffed and they know what they’re talking about. I have to ask questions every time I go here and they are always helpful!
The garden store is great with awesome plants and they have everything you could possibly need.

They have good prices and their employees are knowledgeable. They have a wide selection of pretty much everything I would need for do it yourself at home kind of projects. But the only problem I have is I can never get a sales associate in the area I need them in without having to walk clear across the very large store to find one. And then I usually have to wait about an average of 5 minutes for them to come and help me. I understand they have to look out for their labor cost and all but a customers time is valuable as well. Other than that they have reasonable prices and a wide variety of products.

Why did it feel like I had to work harder to get help shopping than it would be to do the repair I needed to do at home? Tight staffing? I don’t know. Good direction here versus the Coconut Grove location, but a little tough today for «more doing.»

If you are buying something off the shelf, this place is fine. If you are thinking about buying anything that you cannot walk out of the store with, stop. I am in the middle of a nightmare with kitchen cabinets that I purchased there. The salesperson was terrific, and I have no reason to blame her. However, the people who coordinate deliveries, installation, etc., leave a lot to be desired. No one seems to know what they are doing. Every person gives you a different answer. It took numerous phone calls just to get a delivery date and time after they said it was ready (weeks late). Then today, the delivery person for an entire set of kitchen cabinets scheduled for delivery today called and said they will not deliver to a third floor apartment, even though I fully disclosed it when I placed my order (it is clear on the face of the order) and I even paid extra for such delivery. Then I get passed to four different people at Home Depot (including the paint department!). Supposedly, they will deliver now. Who knows. The amount of time and aggravation spent is not worth it. And it’s no bargain. I hear Lowe’s is much, much better. Next time, I will drive out of my way to Lowe’s.

This is a terrible Home Depot. Every time I’ve gone to the garden shop, I deal with lazy employees who don’t offer help and stand in the way chit chatting with other employees when you’re trying to push your cart around. Today I asked for the cashier in the garden center to wrap the flower pots I was buying and she just put one inside the other (different shapes by the way) and double bagged them, not even double bagged, lined one bag with a balled up second bag. Needless to say… one of the pots were broken when I got home. Might I add that she also did not bag two other items that I purchased so I had to try to stick them in my purse. I guess she was too lazy to use both hands to do her job. The guy in front of me in line went to get a sku number for her… that’s her freaking job, she sent him to fetch the price because either 1) the other employees were no where to be found or 2) she was just too lazy to do it herself. I don’t understand why this Home Depot has all the people who can’t physically or mentally get their hands dirty while they work, that’s part of the job. Don’t go here, you’re better off driving to Coconut Grove, or further south… actually customer service at this Home Depot is so terrible, the one on 8^th Street is better in comparison. No employee even asked if I needed help finding anything, and when I asked an employee to help me, he told me he was busy helping another customer. Terrible. This is your warning not to go here.

What a horrible experience in the carpet department. The first lady we spoke to was very nice, but it all went downhill from there. I purchased a carpet that would be installed within 72 hours according to HD. However, the installation people us-​installations claimed HD made a mistake and didnt tell them it was a 72 hr carpet, so they would not install within the required time while we had tenants moving in to an apt with no carpet, the manager at us-​installation not cooperative at all, didnt even make an attempt to help, we are considering litigation.

One of the best assorted Home Depots I have visited. The staff is very helpful and the store is organized. I really enjoy shopping here

Glad to see you giving Pro customers the importance they deserve, by having one check-​out lane open. It’s not like we have anywhere to be.

My only complaint is that my fridge filter here was literally double what it is on Amazon but service is great! Laz rocks!

I went yesterday ⁵⁄₂₃ and the service was horrible they saw me and my wife struggling to bring down a shower door and a toilet and ignored us. Nobody ever offered to help and when we paid we asked the cashier if she could call for assistance to load the items in the truck and it took them over 30 minutes to have someone come and assist us. Will never use this Home Depot again

Parking lot is huge and easy to maneuver. This is your usual Home Depot. Staff is friendly and like usual you get your deer in headlight employee who takes you over to a PRO that knows the whole store with their eyes closed. Did have a problem with the cashier. She rang everything up and then said it didn’t look right to her so she started all over and we were there 10 extra minutes while she went through everything with a fine tooth comb.

This is my house, my home, and my sanctuary. Some practice meditation, others yoga, some use drugs, but I find my inner peace after a big whiff of pressure treated lumber first thing in the AM. My girlfriend is hot, but my favorite screws are here. The customer service in this store is lacking. There is a good reason for it though. If you are shopping here, then you are obviously a professional like ME and therefor don’t need any help. Not to mention, they have a Cinco de Mayo party out in the parking lot everyday!

Most probably the worst customer service I have experienced at any Home Depot. Don’t try to get a key made here. They should have a comfortable chair nearby for the amount of time that you have to wait for someone to come help you with a new key. This is outrageous! The third person I spoke to finally told me I had to go find someone. Half an hour of waiting, fifteen minutes making the key. Not good at all.

We bought several appliances and 95% of our stuff from Home Depot. We go there very often because of the location.
Staff is very nice and helpful but always busy, the store is clean and well maintained, lines at the register are short except for the return podium.
Parking is ok.

I’m at that age where I get excited to go to Home Depot. It is every homeowners paradise! This location has extremely friendly staff who are always asking if you need help finding something, which is nice. Most of the other Home Depot’s I’ve been to in the past, you have the HUNT people down to find things and get information.
I love their garden center, outdoor and kitchen areas. They could have a better selection on lighting and fan fixtures, but with the merchandise they have, they are always fully stocked.

For all your household — DIY — needs, Home Depot is the place to go. HD iOS app is great to help browse and find what you are looking for efficiently and effectively. I for one, get distraught very easily with ‘gadgets’ and tools. So being able to use the app is key to get me in and out the store in a decent amount of time.
Sold here are Creed LED bulbs which — imo — are the best in the industry! Awesome value/​quality for the price.
Oh, and father’s day is always a must for me… dad loves his presents. Every single time!

I came here recently seeking advice on resurfacing some antique-​finish patio furniture. My friend thought it was quite silly of me to stuff the chair into my car trunk and haul it in, but I wanted to make sure one of the associates could make an accurate assessment as to how to proceed on resurfacing, based on the material. I grabbed a shopping cart, loaded it in, and into the store I went!
The first gentleman I saw in the paint department told me that my prognosis was grim. He advised paying a professional company to sandblast it and said he could readily offer their number. I thought that seemed a bit odd that he’d plug that company so quickly, as well as a bit pessimistic. I am no expert on this subject but I did not see why repainting would not solve the problem. He said it would ruin the detailing from the chair and advised against it. When I told him this set was a discarded gift from a friend and I really did not want to spend much to repair it, he offered to take it off my hands. It seemed somewhat suspicious, I wonder if that was his motivation all along, which is why he gave me such a grim prognosis. Nonetheless, I grabbed some spray paint and went over to the next aisle.
At the next aisle, I met a younger associate, asked for his opinion, and he said there was no reason why I could not just do the work on my own, he did not think sandblasting was my only option and recommended a wire brush and a sandpaper sponge to get into the corners. He gave me the confidence to do it on my own and even showed me how to work the spray paint in the best manner by testing it on a small section of the chair. It looked pretty good, and I started feeling confident. Went to my parents’ yard with my furniture in tow, spent 2 nauseating hours with the toxic fumes, mosquitoes and the 89 degree heat and ended up with pretty amazing results after using some elbow grease (literally, my arms and elbows still hurt 3 days later).
My mom was stunned, she said it looked better than it ever did and she did not know I was so talented and handy (don’t get any ideas, mom!). All I can say is that I am glad I ran into that second associate, or I might have given up on that furniture set. I guess your experience will be based on who you get to assist you. The store itself is pretty large and clean, parking is easy and the lot is large. Their gardening center is quite large and has a great variety of plants, usually along with helpful, knowledgeable employees that will advise on the best plants to get for your needs. I once saw Venus Fly Traps being sold here and have gotten some pretty interesting cacti, some of which apparently is somewhat rare. I prefer to go to this location rather than the one in North Miami, even if that location is much closer to me.

Home Depots are all pretty much about the same, but for the general southern Dade area, this one takes it for me. Access is easy, right off US 1, and the parking lot is large enough so that it’s usually not a madhouse.
The store itself is larger than the previously-​controversial Coconut Grove location, and also unlike that store, has an outside garden/​nursery department where you can pick up the basics. I wouldn’t look for anything too wild and crazy in the horticultural sense, but if you need soil, fertilizer, river rocks, pots, etc., it’s a quick in-​and-​out.

Can I tell you that for a woman who doesn’t much enjoy shopping, I really love going to HD and can spend hours looking at small nuts and volts and be amazed!
I don’t know what it is but HD is an intriguing place for me. I love that you have pretty much every single item you would need to build a house!
This particular location is big, but then again, aren’t they all?!
I find that the customer service is excellent. Maybe the guys and gals there just wanna help a little lady like me out but nevertheless I always find help with a lot of patience!
