Specialties
A secluded, yet convenient romantic mountain getaway lodge and group venue. 34 acres of private woods and meadows, along with modern facilities for relaxation and/or small group retreats, reunions or outdoor wedding events.
History
Established in 1988.
the property was originally settled in 1912. This natural mountain oasis had the venerable Stone Lodge built in the 1920’s by an Italian Prince as a summer treat for both family and friends out from the Denver area. Purchased then by Frank Douglass as his personal home, along with the many surrounding acres in the 40’s for use as a small cattle ranch operation. Upon he and his spouse’s demise, the lodge and immediate acres were set aside as a historical landmark, opening as a Bed and Breakfast in 1988 where we, to this day, continue with family traditions to provide accommodations for the weary and romantic traveler alike.
