History

Established in 2007.

Crosswind Farm Alpacas began with a foundation herd of 5 animals. In a short time we have grown to 28 alpacas of our own and 2 boarders.

Our farm store quickly outgrew its original location and was moved to a much larger area on the farm. We stock a beautiful collection of clothing and accessories made from alpaca. We also have a variety of alpaca yarn in different weight and colors. This is from our own animals. The yarn is gorgeous and a pleasure to work with. Like to spin? We have raw fleece and roving as well.

Meet the Business Owner

Steve F.

Business Owner

A retired elementary school principal, Steve is now responsible for a different kind of critter. By visiting other farms, attending workshops and seminars and some good old common sense, Steve has learned a great deal about caring for alpacas and managing an alpaca farm. He welcomes visitors (by appointment) and loves to show them around.

He’s taken his alpacas on the road several times for festivals, summer camps and schools.
