The Asthma & Allergy Center has been in operating since 1981 in Pikeville, Kentucky. There are 5 locations of the Asthma & Allergy Center at this time: Pikeville, Stanton, Hazard, Whitesburg, and Salyersville.

Business Owner

Leonor Pagtakhan-​So, M.D.

Dr. Pagtakhan-​So graduated from Manila Central University School of Medicine, Philippines in 1965. She did her Pediatric Residency Training in Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts and continued with her Fellowship at the St. Clair Medical Center in Schenectady, New York.

Dr. So is a Board Certified Pediatrician; she is also an Allergist who sees both adults and children. She has been in private practice in Eastern Kentucky since 1975 and is the Founder and Director of the Asthma and Allergy Center based in Pikeville.

Some of Dr. So’s specializations include respiratory disorders such as COPD and Asthma, Allergies, and Immunological Disorders, Urticaria and Angioedema, and Migraine Headaches.
