Parenting with Positive Discipline is a seven-session class, facilitated by Lisa Fuller, M.S.W., for parents who are looking for long-term parenting skills that will encourage their children to think for themselves, become more responsible and have a greater respect for themselves and others. The teachings of Positive Discipline are filled with non-punitive, respectful methods that incorporate kindness and firmness into parenting, help parents get to the core of their child’s misbehavior, bring more joy into the home and give parents a sense ease and joy in parenting. Lisa offers classes throughout the year in addition to parent education community speaking engagements at schools, churches and community center.
History
Established in 2009.
Lisa has been teaching parenting in the East Bay for the past 5 years. Classes have been held at the Piedmont Adult School, Desa Arts Boutique, Peter Pan Cooperative Nursery School, Full Circle Development Center, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Oakland Center for Spiritual Living, Swan’s Market Co-housing Community and more.
Lisa is frequently speaks at PTA and school parent education meetings. Glenview Elementary, St. Paul’s, Piedmont Tri-school, Broadmoor, ECPC, Kiddie Kampus, Peter Pan Cooperative, Cottage in the Woods, Nia House Learning Center.

Lisa Fuller, M.S.W., Certified Positive Discipline Associate, Co-Active Coach in training, has been facilitating parenting classes in the East Bay for the past 5 years. She is a compassionate listener who is committed to empowering parents and children through Positive Discipline’s common sense principles. Lisa’s three children (16, 12 and 5) give her many opportunities each day to practice Positive Discipline, make mistakes, try again, and continue to learn. Lisa is a member of the national non-profit Positive Discipline Association and is currently studying at Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael.
