An Oakland (California) native, Jeff Laynes has established a long list of achievements in track and field. Jeff has been a dedicated sprinter throughout his post-​secondary education, and later embarked on a storied professional track and field career. A 10-​year professional veteran sprinter, Jeff has been able to accomplish a host of personal bests and milestones. He also started the Your Success, My Goal Fitness Boot Camp.

History

An Oakland (California) native, Jeff Laynes has established a long list of achievements in track and field. Jeff has been a dedicated sprinter throughout his post-​secondary education, and later embarked on a storied professional track and field career. A 10-​year professional veteran sprinter, Jeff has been able to accomplish a host of personal bests and milestones.

Jeff has also had a long standing interest in philanthropy. He has seen first-​hand what can happen to individuals when society becomes unresponsive. He has donated both time and money to a variety of non-​profit agencies, and was able to leverage his management expertise to start his own non-​profit enterprise in 2000, Track Stars of Tomorrow. Track Stars of Tomorrow is a developmental athletic program for inner-​city youth, and its purpose is to support and encourage both recreational and competitive track and field events for financially disadvantage children of all ages, genders, and ethnic groups.

Jeff’s accomplishments are not limited to the field. He is a product of Oakland’s public schools, and received an AA degree from Merritt Community College. He received his BS in Public Policy and Management from the University of Southern California (USC), garnering both athletic and academic scholarships.
