Rose Whittier Nails

Came here this evening and left unsatisfied. The hour plus wait was more than enough to have an un happy guest. They did not seem as busy as other days so I def didn’t expect to wait so long. Not only that but having someone help you who will not follow simple instructions is frustrating I am referring to Lin in specific. I asked her for a simple pedicure for my 5 year old daughter and she basically sat her down to the side and forgot all about her. Waist of my time. I ended up leaving with my daughter and we will not be coming back. The last thing you want to do is make your customers feel unattended.

So I came back like I said I would, but this time I wasn’t satisfied.
Got the same spa pedicure and also got a manicure.
I got another lady this time around.
I gave her the benefit of doubt and I’m assuming she’s new.
My hand cuticles don’t look a round clean shape. When she filed my nails, she literally only stroke each nail about 3 times. You can literally see parts of my nail still hanging on. The nail polish doesn’t even make it up to the cuticle on some fingers. She double coated but you can actually see it on the edge of all my nails, cause she failed to paint to the edges.
My toe nails all don’t look the same shape. She cut my toe nail wrong and made it bleed, and now it’s hurting.
I also witnessed her cleaning the pumice stone she had just used on me with only something she squirted on it and the water from my pedicure. She rubbed it a few times, rinsed it in the dirty water then put it back on her cart. Uuugggghhhhh.
This last visit really sucked. She didn’t even use the warm lotion on me! That’s it for this spot for me.

I have been a loyal customer for 10 years, I have always seen the same person for nails and toes, I have recommended multiple family members as well as close friends. I was beyond upset when I made a appointment this past Saturday, first I wanted to make appointment for a new set and pedi but they said they couldn’t do them both at the same time, (since when is that?) They just didn’t want to, so I still made the appointment for nails only, well I showed up 10 minutes late cause I couldn’t get out of work and she says she can’t help me, «someone else do for you» NO that’s why I made a appointment with you! Ughhhhhh I was so upset. One time I text my pedi lady I wanted to come down for a fill and pedi, she said she could do my pedi but my girl that does my nails was busy. Ha I get there to do my pedi and the lady that does my nails was sitting there the WHOLE time on her phone. I’m done with this place. Bye bye to a 10 year loyal customer.

I thought it was time that after five years of going to the salon and seeing Julie. I write a review!
Basically any nail salon you’re going to get what you pay for and for what you tip. I’ve always took care of Julie, and By take care of I mean I give her $ 10 every time I go see her. Don’t be frugal ladies! Everyone that I’ve seen before I met Julie has done an excellent job!
Keep in mind I work in orange county and I always make the drive. So it’s something about this place. Check it out

Literally the worst service ever. Jennifer the woman in the front is so ridiculously rude. The service is horrible and the prices are ridiculous. What I normally pay $ 30 for I paid $ 45 for today. No acrylics just a normal gel manicure and regular pedicure. I showed up at 9:10am and the girl who did my toes took AN HOUR. I had to be at work by 11 so I let her know I needed to leave at 10:30am. She nodded her head and continued to take her time. When she finished my pedicure, at 10:10am, I told her I would have come back for my manicure at 2:15pm. She said she could do my manicure and be finished by 10:30. So she started my manicure and the next time I checked my phone it was 10:35. She hadn’t even started to paint my nails so I made an appointment for 2:15. I came back at 2 thinking it would be A good idea if I got there earlier turns out she had double booked so I had to wait. I only needed the polish so I didn’t think it would take very long but I needed to be out of there by 2:45pm. At 2:20 I asked Jennifer, the rude woman in the front, if I could have anyone else do them and she flat out said no. I told her I was in a rush and instead of trying to help me out she just yelled at the girl who was going to do my nails to hurry up. She didn’t start my nails until 2:35! I was livid. She ended up finishing at 3:05pm which made me late to my next appointment. Only reason I gave this place one star was because Julie, who does my eyebrows is amazing. Everyone else in the front of the salon is so rude!

If I could give this place no stars I would. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !!! Trust me u will regret it. My mom came in on a Friday to get a full set. Not only where they ugly n not filed right one of the nails feel off on Sunday. I came in with her to explain the quality of job that was done as well as to let them know of the nail that fell. Instead of offering to take care of the problem n fix it they claimed there was nothing they could do she had to come back when the guy who did it was in. When she expressed that she didn’t remember who it was they said then she had to pay for all of it all over. Wtf is that !!! Where is there customer service and satisfied customers mentally. This place is trash trust me ur better off going down the street and trying one of the other nail places

I went because I was in the area and m friend goes sometimes. Very dissatisfied. You want your cuticles cleaned? Extra $ 5. The guy who did my nails was very rough. You can see the lines from the file on the nail. He didn’t even clean the acrylic that dried on the underside of the nail. Snags all over. My fingers were throbbing from how rough he was. I’m not sure how ppl come to this place. It’s been since Friday and 4 of my nails have already lifted. Not what you pay for. Eery where else I go they include cleaning your cuticles. If your in the alhambra area visit Carols Nails. Respect, treatment fabulous. As different as night and day. They even use a nice smelling oil for your cuticles to soften them if you don’t want them cut. Never ever again. First such dissatisfaction at a salon.

I would give ZERO stars if I could but I can’t. This place is so terrible! The main lady that sits in the front to the right is extremely RUDE! I got a gel manicure yesterday and my gel was already peeling so I came back to get it fixed and I spoke to the lady in the front she basically ignored me and walked away. I will NEVER come back to this place. Horrible costumer service!!!

Long time gel mani/​pedi customer. I even moved out of the state and came back once I lived back to Montebello. I absolutely love coming here. Very surprised to see bad reviews. Some other services I’ve taken advantage of here are the permanent makeup, waxing, and facials. Great service and good quality. They even recognize me when I show up! Even the newer girls are great. My mom loves coming here too. This is my preferred spot.

Poor excuse for a Pedicure…
I waited more for the lady to actually come and start my pedicure (15 minutes cause she wanted to finish her lunch) then the WHOLE pedicure took.
She scrubbed the top of my feet with the pumice, like what? That hurts!
She didn’t even massage my foot at all.
It was a bullsh*t job.
The lady next to me was getting her pedicure done before I got there and the lady finished with me first.
I would never come here again, I rather have ugly toes.

Oh my Lord I love this place I love how Tony does nails he is my nail tech he takes his time he cares for your nails knows when it’s time for a fill or a new set Cindy my pedicure tech omg she does the best work a girl can ask for every time I walk in there they already know and staf t everything for me I don’t have to wait :)

They are extremely rude here. Heaven forbid you correct them or point out any flaws. They are rude. They give dirty looks. The lady at the front is extremely unfriendly.
I came back because I broke a nail that they had just put on earlier in the day and she was sooooo upset. You could almost see the fumes coming out of her ears. From then all the others were also rude to me. I blamed myself and was willing to pay. When I asked how much she changed her tone and was a little nicer.
But regardless, that’s the last time I ever come here. There is a much nicer one down the street on durfee.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! One star is way too much for this place … The main lady at the front desk is so rude. She did my nails and they came out terrible. She was impatient and offensively impolite … Will never go there again!!!

I have visited this nail salon a couple of times, and it’s basically hit or miss. I’ve had a few good experiences, but the last time I had my nails done here, the nail technician did not do a very good job. She wound up cutting one of my fingers with the nail file because she was filing too hard, and about 5 days later 2 of my acrylics fell off because she did them too thin. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the nail technician to avoid, but she was an older lady located at a station closer to the front. I also feel that this place sometimes lacks professionalism. So if you like to gamble, give it a try, and if you happen to get a good nail tech definitely ask and remember their name for future reference!

They suck! They do not know what they are doing and they are so rude! The lady that did my nails messed them up and the Gel nails chipped the next day! I have been their several times and they always mess them up! They are so rude their! Whenever I give them a tip they do not even say thank you!
I would recommend you go somewhere else! It’s not worth it here!

Second time coming here. I actually like it so far I went in today for a pedi and Mani two ladies worked on me one was doing my pedi and one my Mani. Love that I didn’t have to be there for so long.

I would have to say that I love this place. My nail lady is Jennifer and she dose an amazing job. She takes her time while doing your nails and clean them very well… She is also very sweet and she so worth the wait she makes my hands and feet look great and feel great as well. She also suggest thing that would help U better to take care of your hands and feet. My feet are looking better… The staff there is very sweet and helpful. They are very clean as well which is plus to me … So thank u Jennifer for making my hands feet look beautiful … So I would totally recommend Jennifer and this nail shop to anyone in Town …

I have been looking for a good place to get a mani, pedi in the whittier & pico area. Hopefully also find a good manicurist that can do a good, clean job and is familiar with nail designs. I read a review on Unilocal that let me to Rose nails and to Jennifer.
Jennifer is awesome, does great work and takes her time. She paid attention to detail and did her best to deliver great service including a super cute nail design. Thank you Susie for posting your review.

P. S.–The shop uses medically sterilized and sealed tools to do their work. Not that many shops do this or at least non in this area so that is a bonus. They also have alot of colors to choose from.

If I could give a million stars I would! My nail lady is Jennifer and I might as well call her my long lost sister! She is amazing. I have been getting my nails done by her for about 12 years. She has moved from shops but after following her to 2 other places, she is BACK to her original shop! She is amazing and has lots of patience for people.

Not only do I go to her, but my family and coworkers go to her. She is amazing and there are plenty of great nail people that she can recommend as well. I love my Jennifer. She has amazing patience and skill!!!
