The best glazed doughnuts ever!!! They are freshly baked every morning at 1a. m and they are to soooo good! I don’t think k they are the same owners as the east Los Angeles location but they are almost the same in flavor even though east Los Angeles location is the best!

This place was just ok for me. I was a bit disapointed after seeing other great reviews. I went on a hot Saturday afternoon, and when i walked in the air was definitely stagnant, with just a small fan running, so whatever no big deal, but just then this funky smell hit me, and there was trash can right in front of the cashier filled to the top! well this pretty much had me running to the door. Just then this super sweet old man came out to greet me, he was very talkative and nice so i said what the heck & ordered a few items. I ordered two Thai Iced Teas(later at home I realized he gave me Chai Tea), and a couple of donuts. The selection was very limited with your basic chocolate, sugar, and glazed, and they literally had one Jelly donut left, and jelly donuts are my thing! I dont know maybe i went during one of their«off» hours, but It was just ok, the donuts were ok, the tea was sweet and lukewarm, eh nothing to write home about. One star for the sweet old man.

The best place to get your local donut craving satisfied! I first went here when I was a kid, then many years went by and I can honestly say it taste JUST as great as it did then to what it is now. Love it!

I nearly cried, CRIED, I tell you, when I first bit tried one of their chocolate glazed crullers at 2:00AM. I only come here in those incriminating hours of the morning, but I have to say I’ve never tasted anything like their warm, crispy, fresh, melt-in-your mouth crullers. I actually am kicking myself for writing this review as we speak because I want the crullers all to myself. I will also champion their warm apple fritters and their warm plain glazed crullers. I strolled into a YumYum Donuts the other day and the donuts weren’t Yum at all, they all tasted like they were made with some cheap, weird lard that left a gross aftertaste. I RAN back to Home Style Donuts. No aftertaste, nothin but the highest quality lard. Plus, I really like the overnite guy. A man of few words and quick and painless donut-boxing skills. Makes me feel less conspicuous for being a giant, donut-eating pig.

Their donuts are always fresh and very good !! They have been here for many many years and they always provide excellent service. They also have a wide selection of ice cream flavors which sometimes and yes call me a fatty go great with donut holes. They also have coffee, teas, hot chocolate, and milk and why not these drinks are a necessity to pair with your donuts.

I absolutely love their donuts. My family has been coming here for years. Their donuts have maintained their quality over time, they’re always fresh, soft but not too soft like Krispy Kreme and firm but not too firm like Dunkin Donuts. They have found the perfect medium! My favorites are the maple bar and glaze twist. My boyfriend tried the round cinnamon donut which he really enjoyed. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!

This is your normal donut shop, however what makes it stand out is the great service. The woman working there is extremely friendly & makes you feel at home. Also they accept debit & credit cards for a small fee, but it’s better than the high fee ATM machines at most cash only donut places. The donuts taste fresh & they have a pretty good variety. I would definitely come back again.

I usually don’t take the time to post reviews, but this place is deserving! I remembered hearing good things about this place from a friend and stopped by to study while traffic cleared on the 605. Luckily, I had my camera with me for a concert I was going to later to take pictures too. Location: I don’t know if it was because of construction, but the name of the intersection(Passons Blvd?) was missing from the street light. I almost missed the turn because the title of the building only emphasizes the ‘Donuts’. But the logo says ‘Home Style’ before it. It’s located across the street from the Ralphs plaza, right in front of 7eleven. Parking was plentiful; I pulled up right in the front of the shop. There were plenty of tables too(perfect for studying!), so I didn’t feel cramped like places back home. Service: I received a warm greeting from the owner behind the counter right as I walked in. His accent was strong and a bit hard to understand at times, but I appreciated that he made an effort despite our language barrier. In my area, people typically just stare at me and wait for me awkwardly to order something, so this was a VERY pleasant surprise. On top of that, after I got my food and was getting ready to study, I tried closing the door so that the A/C wouldn’t be wasted. The owner explained to me that the A/C wasn’t running, but he came and pulled out a portable fan for me. WHODOESTHAT? On a sunny day having been sitting in traffic, that made me beyond happy. Food: After talking to the owner, he told me they make the donuts fresh every day and throughout the day as necessary. There was no debate(with myself.) on what to order. They did have a variety of donut options(and ice cream, smoothies, coffee, some breakfast options too), but I didn’t really care for any of those because I’m a huge sucker for donut holes. The donuts were lightly crisped from the glaze on the outside, yet soft and super fluffy on the inside. Just the way I like em! The glaze had the perfect amount of sweetness, not too overwhelming. If I lived in the area, I’d come here over my local shops or the chain shops like Krispy Kreme any day. KK was one of my favorites, but this is definitely my new favorite donut shop. They can’t match the service or price as Home Style Donuts. I don’t know about you, but a happier me = a much better tasting donut! And another plus for being a family business :) I also had a taro smoothie with extra whipped cream. As a regular at various teahouses and boba joints, my smoothie was just as good, even better than some of the places I’ve been to. It was smooth and flavorful, and not too icy or too thick, making it easy and yummy to drink through my straw. I had an additonal broke students satisfaction knowing that it wasn’t as overpriced as the boba places can get. I was craving more after I finished, especially after one other customer ordered a cookie topped donut. It looked like crushed oreos sprinkled on top, but I have no idea. The only thing stopping me was the fact that I already felt like a fatty for coming here after I already had lunch and dessert. Overall, Home Style Donuts has gone beyond my expectations for a donut shop and I’m definitely coming back whenever I make my way into the area. For some, it may be just another donut shop, but my experience has gotten me hooked enough to rave about it. If you’re looking for the next Extraordinary Desserts version of donuts, prepare to be disappointed. If you’re hoping for a welcoming, cozy place to get a simple donut fix anytime, this is the place to get it!(They’re open 24 hours: D)

This donut place is definitely not an ordinary donut place you are used to have. Not only their donuts are so fluffy and not overly sweet, but they also serve many different beverages to pair with the donuts like thai tea, ice cream, smoothies and coffee. They also have croissants and carrot cake too. My favorite is definitely the glazed donuts paired with their yummy thai tea: p It is a family owned donut shop, so the atmosphere here is very laid back and family oriented. The owners and employees there are very friendly. During weekends their daughters sometime work there as well. If you happen to come there between 10−5pm, a dozen of donut is $ 6 instead of $ 7. They also open 24⁄7 so if you have some late night sweet cravings, they are there for you. Due to the recent construction around the donut shop, it’s not that easy to go to the donut shop compared to before, but their donuts are always so fresh and yummy that we always make our way there every time we are up in LA.

This review is specifically for the doughnut holes and thai tea! YES, THAITEA! I know it may seem a little off the wall, but people this doughnut shop may have the best thai tea this part of town! Now, this may be simply due to the fact there are not many places where you can actually get it. The doughnut holes are extremely tasty here! They are so soft and fluffy on the inside and have a mild crunch on the outside. Mmmmm, thinking about them just makes me want to go get some(they are open 24hrs). What makes this place even better is the fact that there is a 7 – 11 near by and I usually go to par my doughnut with coffee. The owner as well as the employees are extremely nice here. Very friendly and patient. You will get your usual 60+ men just hanging around chatting at this shop which makes it all the more better(I mean, whats a doughnut shop without old men talking/reading the paper).

When I compare the taste of other non-chain and traditional American donut shops I can see a difference. Maybe it is just my opinion but you can compare for yourself. Buy a donut of your choice from this shop and another, I taste a difference, will you? Who knows? They must use better ingredients or I just like this place that much. More than just donuts I like the friendly people here, the fact they added more tables, the easy parking, the nearby access to other shopping destinations. They have donuts, croussiants, ice cream, Thai tea, and coffee. You can see people walk in and chat in a comfortable environment. This is not 5 star restaurant in Beverly Hills but for its genre and fare I think the world of it. My favorite donuts here are the chocolate bar and chocolate twist. My nephew loves the sprinkle donut. They have a special going on between the hours of 10am-5pm in which donuts are $ 6/dozen. The regular price is $ 7/dozen. This is my local donut shop and even though I am on a diet I will honor this donut store with a song. While I eat whole wheat bread and tune these donuts are what I think of every day, like a song by Rihanna. Song Parody of «You Da One» by Rihanna. I don’t even like donuts, but this place is AMAZING. They’re located behind this terrible construction zone, so it’s easy to miss. The apple fritter is probably the best donut I’ve ever tasted. It’s glazed on the outside with REAL cinnamon apples on the inside. I also gave a regular glazed donut to my friend and she said it was comparable to krispy kreme. Their donut holes are incredibly fluffy and soft. If it doesn’t get any better, this place is CHEAP: 75 cents a donut! Home Stye Donuts also sells icecream, coffee, pastries, and breakfast croissants. DON’T MISSOUTONONEOFTHEBESTDONUTPLACESINSOCAL!
