LongHorn Steakhouse

Ordered the 12oz prime rib medium. It was brought out in a few minutes I didn’t even have time to eat my salad but the steak was a bloody mess on my plate. I asked for it to be put back on the grill and when I was brought back out it was the worst tasting steak I’ve ever had. But overall the service was fast and enjoyable.

Good food once again:) The wine we ordered initially was watered down, Carbernet Sauvignon Woodridge… Don’t get it. We had to order something else.

Someone from corporate contacted me because of my review. He never asked me to rescind my review in exchange for anything. He asked for my contact information so he could send me a gift certificate. It arrived quickly and we used it at the Morse and Hamilton Road location.
The people at that location are fantastic and the food was great. Corporate certainly cares.

Way too salty. Lobster tail was completely not edible. When we brought it to the attention of the manager. They did bring another «unseasoned» and it was just as bad. That has happened twice to us at that restaurant but no more. Quality has gone downhill Management was clueless. Don’t waste your money.

OK, so when you review a steakhouse like this, you need to put things into perspective. You can get a steak here for less than $ 20. That $ 20 steak will also come with a side and a salad. Clearly, you shouldn’t be comparing LongHorn to a prime steakhouse like Ruth’s Chris, Smith & Wollensky, or Hyde Park where steaks cost $ 40 and sides & salads are extra.
So for what you pay, the food here is pretty good. Amongst similar chain steakhouses like Outback and Lone Star, I think LongHorn seasons their steaks better. On my most recent visit here, I got their 10oz strip steak, which was cooked perfectly to medium rare. Considering that restaurants that cost twice as much in Columbus sometimes can’t cook my steak as I ordered it, I would consider this a victory on LongHorn’s part.
The service is attentive without being overbearing. The interior décor is decidedly casual. Probably not as good for a formal dinner or a date, but a great casual family night out.
I think the steaks that I grill at home is still a little better than the steaks that I can get at LongHorn… but then again, I think that I’m better than average at the grill. So if your grilling skills is either average or below average, this place is perfect. Or even if you’re a good griller, you’re gonna have those days when you don’t have the motivation to do all the cooking… so once again, LongHorn is not a bad idea.

Party of six was seated pretty quickly. No problem with drinks or ordering food. My wife ordered the 6oz Flo’s Filet, I had the Renegade Sirloin & Redrock Grilled Shrimp. The filet comes out and looks as if it was crushed, or a 12oz filet cut in half across the mid section. We verified that cut of meat was a filet and it was according to the staff. It was the saddest excuse for a filet anyone at the table had seen. My sirloin looked more like an actual filet. All steaks were over cooked, I ordered mine medium and was mostly well done. My wife sent her filet back because it was also well done and we were finished eating before a new «flat» filet arrived. Salmon salad was good as was the hamburger.

This Longhorn is one of my favorite places to go. Ive never been disappointed when eating here. This afternoon, my wife and I decided to go for lunch. We were seated right away and our waitress came by and took our drink orders. She was a sweet heart by the way. Our drinks came out quickly along with our fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes were ABSOLUTELY delicious It had a light sriracha sauce and some goat cheese on it that was fantastic. The wife ordered the lobster tail special. It comes with three lobster tails, three scallops, citrus rice, and fire roasted corn on the cob. She loved it. I had the half rack of ribs with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I was very satisfied. All in all, this Longhorn ALWAYS makes my tummy happy, and I will be back soon for more!!!

Stopped in for lunch and ordered the 7 Pepper Steak Salad, it tasted pretty good until I discovered a long black hair, uggh gross!

I love this place, I have been all over paying over $ 60 for a steak and I always come back to Longhorn Steakhouse. I am a steak lover through and through, hey I have dreams about steak.
I had a bad experience in a high class steak house and I came here to make up for it. We paid ¹⁄₃ of the price got a beautiful Portehouse and rib eye that didnt even need steak sauce, the meat was cooked to perfection. The sides that came with the meal was a good compliment to the meal, the service was impeccable and I never had to ask for a refill. Even the hostess and other servers were very attentive. Thank you for redeeming my steak disaster.

I love this place! Best steaks. Love the house salad in chilled bowl. Suggest getting your steak medium rare. They tend to overcook. Best chili, no beans, all beef. Their $ 30 special for two is great. The ice cream chocolate cake is HUGE enough for at least three people.

My first priority was a cocktail! My server didn’t disappoint when she suggested a Perfect Margarita! It was perfect so kudos on that! Had onion chip appetizer and it was delicious start to a meal. I had the Parmesan chicken with a loaded baked potato. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Other dining companions had steak with crab topping and a steak. Both were very pleased. Overall a great evening with friends.
What stood out though was the service. We were three friends that had some catching up to do so we were talking a lot and sort of slow on ordering. Our server never felt pushy and was there whenever we needed. The wait staff did a great job with their teamwork as well clearing for each other. Overall a good dining experience.

I really enjoy dinning here. The food is really good, and the service is usually great.
I love the 7 pepper sirloin salad (usual fav), and the rancher’s sirloin (newest fav)… I also love the cocktail shrimp appetizer (which seems to be seasonal). My only complaint about the rancher’s sirloin is that in the middle (middle meaning location, not center as in describing rare, well done, etc) of the steak was very underdone. But after almost 8 ounces, I was full. ;-)
My husband was very happy with his prime rib, and my SIL really enjoyed her salmon.
This evening’s service was superb. I highly recommend Shaphan B.

Took the gf here for her birthday dinner (her choice). It was a Tuesday evening around 7pm. We were seated quickly by a very nice host (really tall dude).
We started off with an order of «Wild West Shrimp». It looked kind of weird but tasted really good… loved the spice.
I then got a pretty standard Caeser salad and then got the «Cowboy Pork Chops». They came out in a pool of grease. I asked to have them «cleaned up» and was then asked by our server if I could move my side dish (baked potato) to a different dish while she took the chops away… I didn’t really understand that but ok…
She returned a few minutes later with a couple of chops minus the huge grease pool. I LOVED the first chop… it was sooooo tender that I could cut it with my fork. The second chop… well… let’s say I would have really liked to have had a chainsaw :(
Talk about 2 completely different pieces of meat *sigh*
The service was good and very nice. It ended up being an «OK» experience for myself and my gf loved her food :)

This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to when we eat out. While the food is delicious, it’s not my primary reason for liking it so much.
Generally, I prefer non-​chain eateries. I find that they provide the best overall experience… however, this particular Longhorn in Pickerington stands out among other chains. I’ve been to this location LOTS of times, and every single time I’ve received consistently above-​average service.
I don’t know if I should attribute the excellent service to their staff, the staff trainer, or the hiring manager, but ALL of the staff that have interactions with customers are truly above average for any restaurant. Attentive, caring, and knowledgable; I just can’t say enough about the service.
Overall: Good food with adequate portions and AMAZING service. So, next Tuesday when you don’t feel like cooking… head over to Longhorn on Hill Rd. for a great dining experience.

Longhorn’s food is overpriced for entrees that don’t add up to the quality taste I’d expect. They seem to be known for their steaks and sweet potato. From the visits I’ve made to Longhorn (it’s always been a family decision, thus I have no leverage in changing the minds), never once have I had a memorable steak. Several times they’ve been overcooked. Other times, no flavor.
I adore sweet potatoes! But, if they are not «ripe» and cooked fresh, the taste can very from strange to yuck. LH’s sweet potatoes have never had a distinctive flavor profile. Thus, the butter and cinnamon/​sugar becomes the dish.

Disappointed in last night’s trip to Longhorn. Seems they were short staffed as they had 5 – 6 open tables (that I noticed) but we had to wait 10 – 15 minutes to be seated. Bar wait was pleasant, although no specials at 5:00? Finally seated after the stated wait time but took 5 minutes to be greeted, then another 5 minutes for the server to wait on us. This doesn’t seem like a lot of time but it can be when you are used to better. 20 more minutes for the entrees to show (which isn’t too out of the ordinary. they do have to cook it). Gave the waitress my CC when she checked in for desserts. 10 minutes later the manager checked in on us and I mentioned I just needed the tab and that the girl had my card. He came back with our bill, but not the CC or the CC slip. Off he went to find our waitress, and finally came back in a couple of minutes and we were able to leave. Never did see our waitress after she took my CC. Other than the service, everything was good. Side note: found out most of the people that we knew (from going there often) no longer work there (mangers, wait staff, et. al.) which may have contributed to their issues. What was once a great place for a quick (ish) meal, last night was not. We will perhaps do carry-​out here in the future, but will not dine in if they can’t get their staff situations fixed.

This is a good restaurant. Have been there a few times, and the food and service has always been very good. The ribs are excellent, but there are a few other places that do them better. Also, killer prime rib, but only while it lasts. I only gave 4 stars, because on my last visit, my steak was way over cooked, but the manager hustled me out another one, then comped it as well. We will go back.

We gave LongHorn another chance, because my boys really wanted to go there. This time, the steaks were cooked perfectly, and the salads were fresh. Often, it’s difficult for places to cook steaks medium. The seafood was average, but I don’t expect much more from an Ohio steakhouse.

Not expecting much I went for dinner here with my husband who wanted a steak, I thought Longhorn would not be better than any chain like TJIF or Applebees. Well, I was gladly proven wrong! We had the Onion Strings and Schrimp for an appitizer and bother were very good. I had the Salmon and Salad, both also very Fresh and seasoned well. My Husband had Porterhouse and Lobster which were cooked to perfection, I usually eat neither but tried both and even I enjoyed it. It might be pricier than your average chain, but it is also better quality and better service. It gets very full here and they do not reserve but you can call ahead and get put on the list to save yourself the wait.

I just ate the best steak I’ve had in a while! The service was wonderful. I’ll definitely go back again soon!
