Food was delicious, service was great, and the fresh cantaloupe martini was THEBEST! It’s a summer cocktail so I highly recommend giving it a try before it’s gone!

Farm-to-table(well, some of it) in Pickerington with local beer and spirits. A really great option for«foodies» on the east side of Cbus, and worth the trip if you’re not. All meals are around $ 24, large portions, but not overwhelming. This is definitely on our near-home restaurant rotation list. Check it out!

Got 2 coffees to go and outrageous price paid for just normal brewed coffee. The creamer wasn’t normal creamer or spoiled. The owner wasn’t very friendly because we were ordering coffee to go our first visit there then found out the FB advertised coffee shop/café wasn’t happy about people coming in for coffee cause they aren’t trying to be a coffee shop and doesn’t like customer asking for salt and pepper for their meals. Unfortunate! Went to another coffee shop and got 4 chocolate candies and paid 3 dollars less got so much more elsewhere. Don’t plan to ever be back. My opinion!

Take a chance out in Pickerington on this amazing place! Stumbled across it one Sunday for brunch and have returned several times since. Amazing local cocktails with fresh ingredients, awesome coffee, everything on the menu is tasty and well plated. Service is always friendly, prompt, and you can really tell the entire staff is invested in making this place the greatest place in the area, don’t let the strip mall vibe deter you from a visit.

There is just something about this place. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but when I walk through the door I instantly feel… calm, comfortable, and at ease. I know without a doubt that the service is going to be stellar, the meal will be absolutely incredible, and the vibe is always so chill. I’m memorized by the décor. It’s certainly not what you would expect in this old school suburb. Laid out in deep colors and hardwood, I find it to be rather inviting. Now that warm weather has arrived(yay) al fresco seating is available along with multiple seating options inside. Now let’s talk about the food. Chef Carter works feverishly to source all ingredients locally, and every morsel created and served is GMO free. The passion this man puts into each and every dish crafted and created from scratch is inspiring. The quest for the perfect bite is truly to the benefit of the patron as we fill our tummies with delectable sauces, perfectly cooked ingredients that are artistically plated entrees and paired with delicious cocktails that make Herb’n Café simply enchanting. From burgers to salad, pork chops to halibut there is no wrong choice. It’s the ideal spot for Sunday brunch(the Huevos Rancheros Stack is FIRE) or a weekday lunch(parm fries are a must). The salmon salad is scrumptious and is almost too pretty to eat, ALMOST. Speaking of salads, they are never ever the jam to me, but I order one all the time here. The made-from-scratch dressings are out of this world and make salad taste incredible, but then everything is pretty incredible here. There is nothing about this place that I don’t find to be attractive. Aw, lawd! I think I might be crushing on Herb’n Café. Guess I’ll have to make a few more trips to sort it all out.

I love this place! Every time I’ve been there it’s been great service. It reminds me of a café that would be down at OU and they use a dairy farm from there too. Everything is always fresh and the drinks are great! Pickerington definitely needed this place because it brings the style of Columbus into the suburbs. It might be a little pricey to some people, but it’s worth it!

Read the reviews and gave it a try. The reviews are definitely NOTOVERRATED. Their burgers are probably the best I had in my entire life. As a previous review mentioned, this is like a place I would find at The North Market in Columbus. What an amazing place and some amazing food. Definitely recommend! Would go again!

This boy is going places. I read the article in the dispatch. Unless the chef has some kind of sentimental connection with Pickerington i would not be surprised if he would be downtown Columbus or short north competing with all the other hot spots within 12 months. The fries alone would be worth a review — but who has the time? If you are on the east side this has to be on your list.

I want to get this out of the way first: I’m a scientist at heart, and an avid science information consumer. They have signs that are anti-GMO and anti-Monsanto all over the place, which annoys the hell out of me. It’s a monumentally scientifically-ignorant stance that’s not substantiated by any independent testing, and shows they care more about trends than the actual truth, health of their customers, and/or the lives saved by GMOs that are now grown in places that used to starve because they couldn’t grow food there. So when I saw this, coupled with the somewhat pretentious-looking Short North type atmosphere, I almost walked out fearing they would be the kind of people you imagine when you imagine arrogant upscale people. But, I’m also libertarian, and I like the idea that people should do what they want, and we should all respect each other, and our rights to be whomever we want to be. So I was there, I was hungry… let’s order and hope the food is awesome either way. I’m happy to say I’m glad I didn’t leave. The staff was wonderfully nice, and the salmon was absolutely delicious. I don’t even typically like asparagus, but even that was mouth-wateringly good. While I hate their scientifically-ignorant nonsense plastered everywhere, and will not likely frequent them as much as I would otherwise as a result,(I find such ignorance, and pretentiousness about it, quite off-putting), my rating is always going to be based on the food and quality of service. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was nice, the staff was quite pleasant, the restaurant was clean and visually appealing. So they earned a 5-star rating in my book despite my disdain for their opinions, which I hope they consider keeping to themselves in the future. I implore them to consider this. A lot of wonderful people work in the scientific community to save lives by modifying foods to either prevent disease, or grow in places that are hard to grow in. Treating such people like they’re evil is childish and disrespectful at best. Ignorance and arrogance about such things are unprofessional.

We got takeout on a Saturday early evening. We got the butter bean burger and blue and candy burger. They were absolutely delicious. The mushrooms on top of the butter bean burger was perfection! I love the brioche bun that they use for these two burgers. The bacon on the burger absolutely highlighted the rest of the burger. It was fresh and tasty. The Parmesan fries were to die for. I don’t understand why this place got three $s. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. Definitely come here and visit this local place. We will be back again. My husband who picked up the takeout did not see any highchairs. So this may not be good for small kids. Perhaps the owner can put some high chairs in the restaurant?

This place is a diamond in the rough(the rough being a strip mall)! The owner is awesome, her son is the chef. They are good people and want to get to know their customers. The food is fresh and it’s a scratch kitchen which is cool. Favorites: Brussels sprouts, THEFRIES, veggie burger, tres leches cake, smoothies… the list goes on! I don’t know why they have $$$. This place is totally reasonable for the quality of food you get. GOHERE!

Shockingly good place to find in this area. Looks like something you would find in the short North. Seriously good food. I don’t really care for Brussel sprouts, but these were phenomenal. The fries were great and the house made ketchup was the best I’ve had… Which is weird to say, but true. Cocktails weren’t the best, fairly average at best. I ordered some variation of a whiskey buck but it didn’t really have much of any ginger to it and to much citrus. Had some light live music which was cool. Just a guy and his guitar. Con: no drinks on the patio. Guess they need a different liquor license for that?

The food was fresh and I loved the layout and décor. I had the salmon salad. It was good. Fried capers and green onion gave the salad a unique twist. I loved the dressing! I just didn’t know It was already tossed in it. It was a little too much for me. Next time I’ll ask for it on the side. My friend had the tuna salad. It was on a bed of slaw. The tuna looked amazing. It was small. The cost is high for salads and the portions are small. The salads are $ 13-$ 14 and the sprouts were $ 7. I felt it was pricy. The Brussel sprouts were amazing! Defiantly worth coming back for dinner.

Sunday brunch. 9am to 3pm as of 02⁄2016 is the best brunch in town. But only if you can afford a 10 $ plate and like the idea of locally grown and raised foods. Organic coffee tastes delicious drank it as if it was chocolate milk. Smooth. I had the flourless pancakes with caramel iced bananas. Delicious. Girlfriend had the taco rancheros. Spicy. Yet delicious. I did not feel stuffed or that feeling you get when you eat too many steroids. Try it. Why not try a local talent. Did I mention it’s a chef cooking and not a line chef? Thought that should help. They have local desserts too. I had the thing I can’t spell or say. But it tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Yummy.

Absolutely amazing! From the Modern yet Rustic décor, to the wonderful menu that only contains Organic, Farm Raised and non-altered or processed ingredients! Even their coffee is amazing, since it’s Organic Coffee that is ground up by some local guy in downtown Columbus and is served with pure cane sugar and cream if needed. Nonetheless, you must try this place! It’s only been open since Aug. ’15, and this was our first time here, but we’ll definitely coming again, especially to try the Sunday Brunch! They have a different Lunch/Dinner/Brunch menu, depending on when you come in, but some items are across the board and are featured in all 3 menus! Very, Very nice place! Amazing food! No doubt!

We have just discovered a very special casual eatery in mid-Pickerington on Hill Road. Look for Sherman Center. Herb ‘n Café is the creation of Taylor Carter, a Bradford /Columbus Culinary graduate; also trained at The New Albany Country Club(the new home of Kent Rigsby). So far I can heartily recommend the Blue & Candy burger and the Asian(Short Rib) Tacos. The evening menu includes Crispy Soft Shell Crabs, a 14 oz Ohio Ribeye, Grilled Chicken/Pumpkin Risotto, King Salmon; Lobster Ravioli, Seared Pork Chop and some fabulous salads. The desserts are baked by a local especially for the restaurant. You will want to give this one a shot; they opened August 1st and are doing a bang up business so far!

Top notch service, fun and interesting rustic décor, talkative/engaging ownership, and a wide range of food. Herb N Café has it all. I had lunch here with my parents and girlfriend and we each got a different entrée, three got burgers, one got salad. I was able to try a bite of everyone else’s and loved it. My pork jowl and avocado burger was unique in its flavor. I was a big fan, but the mushroom soy and rosemary burger that my father got was out of this world. We also ordered two different smoothies, the honey berry and hemp & banana. Both were very flavorful and I felt like they were a good bang for the buck. At another point the chef came out and was talking to another table about the specials of the day that they ordered(lobster ravioli if memory serves). That kind of attention to the customer is very cool to me and adds a personal appeal. The décor was rustic, and we all commented about how much we liked it. While I was admiring their wooden accent wall, the owner came up and started talking to me about how they did it. They were all locally sourced pallets that they got for free, and then glued/screwed them into the wall. It looks great, especially how some of them still have writing on them lending that rustic«days gone by» look. The only negative that I have is, while their sign out front is very large and prominent, it sits over a part of the mall that juts out. There isn’t anything right on the door or over it that indicates who they are. I almost missed it, despite seeing the sign, and my girlfriend drove right by it. I loved this place, and found it reasonably priced with quality foods. Hopefully they are able to be successful way out in Pickerigton, because it would be nice to not need to drive to a different part of town just to get a quality burger.

I sure am rooting for this place! The local restaurant — a breakfast/lunch/coffee joint — before Herb N Café was around for many years, then had to close up shop. Good memories! I hope this place keeps the good vibes going! This physical location is fantastic for foot and car traffic. And the owners,(husband and wife) Scott and Terry, are personable, lovely people. They have a food truck that was all over Columbus, previous years. They took the truck on hiatus, and now this brick-and-mortar shop has been their focus. Just a note: They do plan to get the truck back out and about, in due time :) Open concept. They’ve done away with the lower ceiling, exposing the metal and duct work. Browns and black accent colors. Open coffee bar, and you can see into the kitchen area. Tables down the opposite wall. Large L shaped couch in the front area; a cool wood coffee table caught me eye. The Women’s bathroom is simple and accented nicely. Here, the food tries to stay local. They get the pastries and muffins from Bakerhaus on 8(a local lady bakes it all fresh in the wee hours of the morning). The senior-in-high-school waitress was on top of her game! With no previous insight into the shop, she had a gift for customer service. Checked in at all the right times. Impressive, indeed. To the food, Gwen! I was stuck between the Breakfast Croissant and the Breakfast Tacos. The tacos won. Delightful tastes. The egg and black beans were wonderful. I did put a few dollops of the chili sauce on top. A slight kick, and good enhancement. Scott and Terry intend to serve dinner, once things get rolling. Saturday was their first day open, so the kinks are still being worked out. But, hey, for their third day of business, kudos!
