Pheonixville True Value

I came in yesterday and was greeted at the door with ‘How can I help you?’ The tool that was recommended worked out perfectly (a ‘grabber’) and the cost was perfectly reasonable. I have never had to flag down assistance as I have had to do at the big box stores. Loyal! A great addition to Phoenixville.

Staff is always helpful and courteous. Store is clean and easy to navigate through the aisles.

The people who wrk here are great — always helpful. I keep going back when I strike out at the big box stores or need something «unusual», that is something I need but expect not find at Lowes or HD. I used to depend on Sears Hardware for hard-​to-​find things, but they’ve been cutting back, so have come to depend on True Value.

These folks are life savers. They actually had generators coming in the day of the ice storm. They called us and stayed open late so we could pick it up. We will return even though it’s out of our way. Helpful and wonderful owners.

This is a terrific addition to Phoenixville. We finally have another hardware store, we’ve desperately needed one since Whiteys closed. They are friendly, well stocked and knowledgeable. No need to go to Lowes or The Depot or God forbid, Sears Hardware (where you couldn’t get help even if you were on fire).
Another local business that needs and deserves our support.

The night before Hurricane/​storm Sandy hit PA, the folks at this True Value went above and beyond. They stayed open until 10pm (even though their normal closing time is 4pm on a Sunday).
Apparently they had two generators come in unexpectedly. Since everyone was preparing for power outages, these could not be had for love or money in the area at the time. The woman working there was on the phone, calling down the list to every customer who had expressed a need for a generator to let them know. I was very impressed.
I highly recommend and support these guys.

Stopped into my new Phoenixville True Value today and got fantastic service right from the owner, who greeted me at the door with a smile and led me right to what I needed. He gave me advice on how to use it and some handy tips. The store is large, clean, well-​supplied, and the service was outstanding from him and the cashier. Much, much better than the other local hardware store in town, and much more convenient than a big box store.

I’ve been to this store twice in the last 7 days. My first trip there was to get a garden hose and a spray nozzle. Saying that everyone was eager to help me does not do them justice. Since I had my 4 year old with me I suppose I drew unique interest. The guy working the front promptly got her a bag of freshly popped popcorn after overhearing her ask me for some (and hearing my response that it was «okay»). Then another gentleman walked me to the aisle where I could find what I needed. At the checkout counter another gentleman and I struck up a conversation about kayaking and he let me know about a group doing a long run in August.
Now today I had BOTH kids with me and all I can say is «Wow, what customer service!» There was a guy there helping me who was an employee but not working at the time. He helped me get a cart, search for the specific sized screws I needed, picked up popcorn my kids threw on the ground, reminded me about my bag on the floor so I didn’t leave it behind and on and on… It was just fantastic! Makes me want to go back just to hang out with them.
Not to mention that the Acme shopping center NEEDED something like that. Woot Woot True Value!
