Susan Hart, CMT, CMCP specializes in pain relief and relaxation through bodywork. Using advanced massage techniques like neuro-​muscular therapy, myofascial release, massage cupping, cranio-​sacral therapy and active isolated stretching, Susan is able to address core causes of discomfort and help facilitate the process of healing.

History

Established in 1998.

Prior to becoming a massage therapist, Susan Hart was a preschool teacher and professional nanny. Once the child she cared for started school full time, Susan went to massage school to occupy her time. Discovering she had not only a passion for, but the ability to help people feel better, Susan started seeing clients while her charge was in school. Over time massage became more fulfilling than being a nanny. In 2000 Susan started practicing massage exclusively full time.

The history of the company is really the history of Susan, since she basically IS the company. With a degree in early childhood education, Susan worked as a preschool teacher for 5 years before becoming a professional nanny for the following 6 years.

After rubbing the shoulders of a friend of a friend at a party, when the person said «That was better than a lot of the massages I’ve paid for.» Susan got the idea of going to massage school while the child she cared for was in elementary school, to pass her time. In massage school she was nicknamed «Healer» for her uncanny ability to hone in on the exact spot where she needed to work.

In massage school Susan decided she was going to call her business Serenity Achieved! Describing the feeling she hoped all her clients would experience after a session of bodywork.
