History
Established in 1978.
Woodworkers Source is a family business started by Keith Stephens in 1978. Keith’s wife, Betty, and their son, Mark, are also active in the business. The Company has three retail locations and a top notch web site offering the broadest selection of hardwoods in the United States. The retail stores also stock sheet goods, veneers, power and hand tools, and woodworking supplies.

My woodworking began as a hobby and quickly became a frustration. In the late 1970s it was difficult to buy fine hardwoods. The existing suppliers at the time were mostly industrial or wholesalers who didn’t want walk-in retail business. Some would still sell small quantities, but the experience always lacked the level of service I wanted as a small retail buyer. So I started Woodworkers Source to help hobbyist woodworkers get the quality of wood they wanted with friendly, expert service in a high quality professional environment.
